hey issac. I killed two. one was an overzealous dry burn because it was flooded pretty bad. dunno what happened to the other one. just dead in the middle of vaping. tried my RN's and major bleh, so i need more LR 901's!

also, since you know my vaping style (flavor, TH, vapor, most important -short hits) = what else you got? i'll do another order as soon as the 901's are available :)

Hey Italiano Mama!
Killed Two?? Ugh the dry burning again. I just don't understand :( Try dropping one drop of pure VG to clean out the flavoring :D
For your vaping style, I'd stick with the 901's. They provide the short flavorful hits like no other. I take i, you tried the 801,huh? I am re-upping my Slb order tonight, just had to hold off for a few moments to recoup from so much expansion.

FWIW dry burning is grossly exaggerated IMHO. I use to clean my attys in the beginning, just like everyone else, until I found the solution.

... an atty was meant to be semi-disposable.

If you are looking at changing flavours then by all means a couple of drops of straight VG will cleans the atty (menthol and cinnamon are the exceptions) of the previous flavour.

I have found that over time I get nearly the same performance out of my attys without cleaning them, as when I was cleaning them, to include but not limited to dry burns. So I simply do not bother any more. For me it is just too much fuss. For those who know me, know I am finicky when it comes to performance, so if I don't bother any more (too much fuss for a marginal increase in longevity) maybe there is something to be said about it. Give it a whirl some time.

When their performance starts to drop usually after a couple of months, I relegate them to 5V which rejuvenates them until their demise.

That all being said many liquids will lead to carbon build up on the atty quicker than others, liquid viscosity also plays a role towards atty longevity. IMHO liquids with a viscosity closer to PG simply wick better keeping the atty "wetter" longer, which equals cool, in turn leads to longer life. In my experience anyway.

hi son! i don't change flavors, or if i do i just layer them. adds to the mystery flavor ;)

the dry burn was because it was major flooded and for some reason i can't blow them out well. juice never blows out the top, even when i hold my finger over the little hole, so i end up blowing it out the battery end, but it still comes out the little hole and makes a mess. it was getting hot before i dry burned, so i assume it was flooded? i got tons of vapor with the dry burn, but it was too burnt tasting to vape, so i kept dry burning. oops!

the 2nd one, i dunno. i could have absentmindedly ran it dry and kept on tokin. i've been known to do that... that's why auto batteries are safer for me lol.

i still haven't tried the 801, b/c i had one 901 left! :p i told grampie how sad i was that i killed 2, and he felt for me lol. i was going to keep using the RN's and said, screw it - and fired up my last 901. Back to BLISS!!!!!

shoot me an email or call me when you get them in. I figured 901's were my thing, but didn't know about your new cartos. you know i suck at refilling cartos so i'd rather avoid that route unless they are vavoom'rs

I agree. Dry burns shorten the life too much.

But once an atty gets to a point of under performance where you'd pitch it... not much lost in giving it dry burn (except the time it takes to do that). You might get some more use out of the atty. More often than not, I've gotten some extra life out of them that way.

True, but as stated I use to do all that stuff. I am getting the extra life at 5V which is comparable to what was achieved before with cleaning and DB, or just plain DB. They get tossed because they are kaput not because they are under performing.

Not a problem and thank you very much mama. Big smiles on Mystery flavor! It's the best part of vaping! sometimes I just weigh out portions and concoct the wildest of stuff just cause. I have the order placed. :D Please try the 801! LOL If you would like any carto's to hold you over in the mean time, just send some juice over and I'll fill them all up for you. I double checked my inventory and I only found one HV 901 :(

lol issac. yep mystery juice is the best! back when i used to clean carts i'd put the filler in a syringe and squeeze out about 5 mls of pure heaven :) especially if there was any old stuff Ry4, ecopure, or taboo in one of the carts. Best juice i've ever had is mystery juice:thumbs:

i might take you up on filling cartos for me down the road. I don't have any good juice right now. I bought some taboo hoping that would do it, but all i tasted was hay and alcohol. my taste buds must be shot.

nope, i haven't christened the 801 yet! i almost had no choice tonight when i couldn't find my LR 901. looked everywhere - even went out to look in the truck, when i knew that wasn't right cause i had vaped it since i got home. i unscrewed it from a dead 808 battery and laid it down.

found it under my boxer when he got up lol!

can't wait for your order to come in, but i'm cool. I'll run the RN's, some stock prefilled cartos, or an old 801 on 5 v's if i have to. :p
