It will get better! Just don't give up and take it one day at a time. Don't be ashamed if you fall off the wagon.I did and I am still vaping today.@ wondertwin The lotion is a great idea. I have had so many comments on my twilight woods since I quit smoking. I practically bathe in daily but never heard a word when I smoked. Now people ask me all the time where they can buy it.

I would agree that 24mg/ml should be your next logical step, but don't panic about getting there. Your next order would be fine.

This only worked for me because I was allowed to get what I required instead of something like the patch that decided how much I should have. This is not like the patch. You can't smoke while using the patch because the patch keeps giving you the dosage, even after you take it off.

This only gives you nicotine when you use it and it is at lower levels than a cigarette. Your nicotine level remains more constant. Lower but more constant. We are used to the spike but when you find some peace with this it will be more satisfying than having the big highs and big lows of smoking.

You are doing great, anyway you look at it! Hang in there!

Way to go. I'm still a noob also. You can see from my banner I haven't been analog free -or vaping- all that long. One thing that helped me a lot was dripping. When I still get that bad want an analog urge I get my drip tip out. I read on one of these fantastic forums to just drip 2-3 drops right on the atomizer, put on the drip tip, and go. When I still had that bad urge -which has eased- I would drip 2-3 drops of my high nic level e-liquid; it was very similar to smoking a cigarette.

In my honest opinion you should really drop down to 24mg at least, maybe even try 18 before your body gets used to 30mg nic witch is really pretty high. Best case scenario you wean yourself off all nic and just vape 0mg flavor and the higher nic you start the longer that will take. Its still a drug and I'm sure you would like to give your body as little of it as possible while still maintaining. Just my 2 cents..

I must respectfully disagree here. Regarding the habit of smoking, the nicotine addiction is a mere nuisance, at least from a health standpoint. I'm not saying it *can't* be a problem or shouldn't be monitored, but unless other health problems are present personally I wouldn't worry too much about the nic level. For one thing, different vapers absorb different amounts of nic from each puff of the same juice, all other things being equal. There are just too many variables for one of us to presume to know the ideal nic level another might reasonably require.

Just a thought from my cave. Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Agree.

What one person vapes compared to another has too many variables to quantify.

Personally I started at 12mg and had to move to 18mg to stop smoking completely. To me the 12/18/24/30 and 36 are just guidelines. If I had needed 36 or had to self mix to get a bit higher I would have without thinking about it.

Wow you say isn't that high ? Well so what is my reply. Nicotine isn't clever but let's be honest here. We aren't exactly the brightest as we became addicts to the drug.

Vape whatever you need to break the tobacco habit and then move down through the levels if you want but what ever you vape it will never come close to being as bad for you as tobacco tubes.

Hey there me again just over 2 days without touching a cig now! Iv been vaping my .... off its been really hatd I cant stop thinking about burning cig I fight it but it happens Iv been a smoker for over 25yrs its sick I cant wait to say ots been a month or six months since I quit I want to get there I have to get there I ordered more juices a tank and couple more attys tonight

Hi :)

Hi congrats on becoming a vaper, you are doing really well.

Two weeks ago i was a 2 packs a day smoker, and have been smoking for 25 yrs also now i only vape. I still had the urge to smoke the first week big style (i live in a house of smokers) but i moved up to 24mg juice and bribed myself. With what i have saved over the last 2 weeks and what i will save in the next 4 weeks has allowed me to buy all the vaping kit i need, an ipad 2, a new vacuum cleaner and new bedding :)

My best advice would be to not pressure yourself or think of your self as stopping smoking, you are just trying something different with a lot more flavours available :)

It's not a battle. The first day I got my kit I smoked some of the analog I had left while I vaped, sometimes at the same time and for me I found that I liked my vapor almost!!! as much as I liked analog. It was OK. It wasn't analog and never will be the same, but it was satisfying on a different level. I knew gum or patches were not for me... I LIKE TO SMOKE...Sorry I know thats not PC but smoking is a habit pour coffee smoke drive car smoke open beer smoke whatever smoke do it for long enough and you do it more and more. I don't see my vaping as a fight against smoking but as an alternative. Don't think about smoking when you vape just vape and go this is OK I feel good. I hope this helps.

grats on quitting. i know when i started i thought i could switch cold turkey like a lot of people say they do, but that wasn't for me so you are lucky. it took me almost 2 months to fully quit analogs but it was well worth it. if you relapse that is natural too so don't be hard on yourself if that happens, just stick with vaping.
