3. Your post will probably get deleted for this question, only drugs people are allowed to discuss are nicotine and caffeine

Hi - I thought I had read the rules here, but now I am uncertain. I know about not soliciting or even discussing pure nicotine, but is caffeine also off limits???

Oh, I see, I think I misread it a bit: you meant
"the only drugs we are allowed to discuss here, are nic and caff"
not
"only drugs people* are allowed to discuss nic and caff"

*thinking either you have to be a special class of user or that "people" was a mistyping for forum/area/room/etc - some forums do limit certain discussions to certain areas.

So diluted nicotine and caffeine is ok to discuss here, right?

How about drugs in the medical, not the legal, sense?

There's loads of herbal infusions etc that presumably could be vaped - and many of these do have some medical properties. Chamomille is aseptic and somewhat anesthetizing (as well as a diuretic) for example. Various mints, licorice and many other things can also have rather strong medicinal effects. Am I right in guessing that these are ok to discuss as part of recipes or whatever?

But where is the line drawn? If something is classified as always illegal? Illegal without a prescription? Legal but not sold OTC? Legal, sold OTC, but not classed as food-safe?

I'm thinking herbal infusions that are commonly sold for making tea etc must be allowed, but I am wondering if things such as asthma medications might not be? And what about other stimulants than caffeine, either totally unregulated or regulated but legal?

...if you truly have serious question on this matter, it might be better to contact a moderator for clarification...all illegal drugs are strictly off limits...use discretion for anything else, we are primarily interested in the gear and nic/no nic juices...............

Well I don't have a serious question right this minute (new to this), but I can very well imagine that I might have one along these lines:
- sore throat: would chamomile/strepsils dissolved in alcohol/lidocaine be a good addition to my juice?
- Asthma or pneumonia: could I mix my prednison in my vape-liquid? How about an antihistamine?
- Can't sleep: Would it be a good idea to try some valerian in my evening vape?
- hate coffee, hate taking pills: can I add caffeine to my vape? can I add Sudafed?

...my answer to all these questions is...I wouldn't...vaping is atomizing a liquid into your lungs...physiologically, inhaling anything but air can be bad...we vape because it is a healthier way to obtain the nicotine we are addicted to...anything which is meant for oral ingestion should be taken by...oral ingestion and not vaped...this is my opinion and should be considered as that only...if you wish to dance around forum rules regarding talk about drug usage, that is your lookout.......

I actually read up on the caffeine... apparently, you can vape it but the amount of liquid that you vape couldn't possibly be enough caffeine to actually do anything.

Tona -- what Jack said! I would not go experimenting with trying to vaporize everything under the sun. Sometimes there are chemical reactions that happen when you try to take something that is meant to be in a certain form and you try to put it in another form without really knowing what youre doing. I have seen some premade juices that have things such as eucalyptus and honey for colds, some with ginseng or vitamins, but I would surely NOT attempt to do that yourself!

Read the TOS (Terms of Service) on the front page. It's all clearly spelled out.

That rule is no different than on many boards.

Well that was a non-answer if I ever saw one. So always-illegal drugs no-no, for everything else use your judgement.

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't go putting anything non-vapeable into a juice without very careful research!
But since there are actual medications that are taken by inhalation, and many herbal teas have physiological effects... and most anything water-based could be vaped...
