Started vaping about 2 years ago to quit smoking. Great plan! Bought a blu starter kit and gave it a go. NOPE!!! Didn't work. Stuck my blu in a drawer and kept smoking.

Found a place that had different pre-filled flavors (volcano) and gave those a try. Better but still not giving me what I needed to quit. What are these "super vapers that they have on their website....?)

Started doing some research on re-filling cartos with what ever flavor you want.

SCORE! Bought some 18mg from iVape and started noticing decreased urges to smoke.

More research....

Found a variable MOD on clearance and bought it (eVo Gold 4.5-5.5-6.5).

TASTE LIKE BURNING!!

Found Mister-E House of Flavor! WOW!

TASTE LIKE BURNING!

Maybe it is the carts...

Bought some tanks.

Wouldn't work on the MOD...

Bought my wife an ego... and some clearo's

She loved it and everything worked great. Holy Funny Banana!! Delicious!

Clearo's also worked on my mod.. YEAH!!

TASTE LIKE BURNING! (if I take too long of pulls)

More research...

ohm on tanks was 1.5... probably too low for my 4.5 mod. maybe... hell I don't know

Wife's ego is awesome great smoke no burning (no warmth though which I like)

Researched RBT's... wow that is some serious stuff...

Ordering a ego... maybe I am not ready for variable high voltage mods yet...

Yep! The ohm is way too low! The rule of thumb I was told is take your resistance & add 2. So if yours is 1.5 ohm you shouldn't go over 3.5 or you risk burning. You can always vape at a lower voltage than the 3.5 if that's not your sweetspot but. Don't give up!! Just get some higher resistance carts for your pv & you should be fine.

I agree with Chimney's advice. The other thing I would maybe recommend is a Spinner or Twist, so you can get a little warmer vape with the juices and clearos that can take it, but turn it down when you start to get the burning taste. I've also really been liking the bottom coil clearos, like T3s and Evods, better than the top-wick ones like Stardusts. I think they wick better and you don't get as many burned hits. Good luck!

Thanks for this... I have been arguing in my head about a twist or just a plain jane ego and this makes perfect sense. I will be disappointed in the long run with the regular ego so I should go for the in-between of what I have with what I think will work!

FWIW, I prefer the Spinners to the Twists. The performance and durability are roughly the same (prices are comparable, too), but the Spinner has an easier knob and voltage markings to work with.
