This is subjective because it is over a short period of time and everyone uses their PV differently.

However, of 7 cartomizers I started with I noticed 2 things that affected their life:

1. Using only 1 liquid. This may be that the liquids I used more than one of were "dirtier" or were more prone to clogging the cartomizer, but either way, when I switched flavors (i.e. started with cherry, changed to a strawberry after vaping the cherry for example), that was usually the last time I could refill.

2. Overfilling messed with my atomizers, but it seems to do more to the cartomizers. I usually fill until I overfill and that's how I know I've filled it enough :) Also because I'm new to vaping I usually can't estimate the amount of liquid inside, or how much it needs. But overfilling seems to definitely put a damper on the vapor, and not just for a while, it seems to actually leave a permanent damper on the function of the cartomizer.

Just thought I'd share what I seemed to notice :)

If you overfill use a paper towel to soak up the additional liquid. This may help with the vapor production.

I blow it out and get it all out, but it still seems like when I make sure not to overfill (pool up at the top, especially going out through the middle, I drip over the top, letting it go down the sides), it vapes a lot better, and vapes for more consecutive refills. Maybe juice gets on the coil? Not sure but just what it seemed like for me..

I've been adding about 8 drops each time I top off my 510 carto. When the liquid starts to pool up along the side, that's when I stop.

I tried using the spin method on 808s but it seemed like the juice always leaked through into the coil and needed to be blown out.

I got the same issue with the spin, nothing will hold the juice in.

I've tried to let the juice soak down the sides and avoid pooling high enough to reach the middle tube if that makes sense. It seems like when it gets to the middle and drips down it messes with the vapor production from then on...

I just bought a package of inexpensive 510 cartos....I quickly realized that the methods I used for KR8's and 4081's would NOT work effectively with these cartos. What I figured out...at least for me and the cartos I have...is that these 510s are very overstuffed with filling....the Taryn spin only makes things worse...the condom method is a definate NO for male threaded cartos....the only answer, for me, is patience. I leave the bottom condom on and fill the carto with juice...then let it sit. This to me is the key...to saturate all the filling without having it run down into the threaded chamber below. The other method is to go into a state of Zen meditation, fill a syringe with e-juice....and then sit there and introduce the juice, from the bottom up,into the filler.....very........very.....slowly :) If you do not do one of these two things in my experience what happens is that you THINK you have flooded the carto....but in reality you have not...you have simply bypassed the saturation point of the filler and flooded the bottom of the carto. So....you blow it out onto a towel...or the floor or out the window or whatever.....and promptly burn up the carto. Because your juice is not in contact with the heating element. (see signature :) )

i was very happy to discover this because it made me realize that you really CAN get good value out of cheap cartos....but every carto is different and you can not treat them all alike.

I use 510 cartos and have had a very good experience with them. I always fill them using the condom method, and then do the spin. When I first started i would push the threaded part (battery end) into the juice. Now I push the mouth part in first. I do this for both hard tops and soft tops. I tried filling the soft tops by taking the top off and dripping juice in. But to me it seemed to perform differently, and not in a good way. I have had problems with 100% vg and also 100%pg. Now I just use a mix of 80%pg/20%vg and all is well. I get awesome results using the cartos on a 5v PT. This of course is just my experience. :vapor:

Don't know about what you mean by your signature...

But that makes sense too, I drip from the top, and it does take patience, it seems like it will pool up (but not go down the middle) then if you wait it will soak in...but if you try and drip 20 drops...it will come out the bottom.

So with cartos, you sort of have to drip on a few drops, and be patient (for me at least, I hate the condom method) and let it soak in, if you go too quick I believe you are correct, you don't get as much liquid as possible at the very least....
