The Halo site claims that their cartomizers hold 1mL of liquid but they also say add 20 drops to a blank (and my experience is that 20 drops is about the limit to avoid overfilling). Yet if I use the dropper that comes with their 30mL bottles and fill it to the 1mL line, 20 drops comes out to around 0.5mL (holding the dropper vertically). I've also read elsewhere that 20 drops is about 1mL and that seems in line with rules of thumb about dripping any liquid from an eyedropper. What gives? Is the useful cartomizer capacity actually only 0.5ml or is the dropper not properly calibrated.

In my Halo carts I get .85 ml on a refill. I dont count drops as it seems too inconsistent.

For me a 1ml syringe is my preference. I'll add drops to a carto with the rubber cap on the bottom when Im in a hurry. Push and pull the cap a bit to create a vacuum and suck the liquid down - in my pocket and out the door ;)

The most liquid I ever got into one was .95 and a couple drops leaked from the bottom. Similar results with two other brands of cartos.

Edit: It wouldnt surprise me if the capacity stated/specified was for an actual empty cart. No filler inside.

Every dropper is slightly different and it also depends on the viscosity of the juice. What ratio of pg/vg are you using.

Those cartos take about 1ml. The better way to fill is a condom fill, with a tayrn spin. You don't have to do the spin, but it will allow more juice in.

The best way to guesstimate how much you need is put in about half a condom full. Then, let it soak and drip a few more drops in. Fill until it looks slushy
