wish someone was around to discuss this with me, i'm going nutso! I like the amount of airflow with the nautilus but I do not like the actual vapor if that makes sense, it seems dry to me. Is my saying it produces a dry vapor not the right to say it? Is it not 'warm' enough for my taste? Is that the issue? I thought all bottom coils produce a warmer vapor which is why I thought I was a bottom coil/wick girl. (from what I've read and been told :) So in ordering another tank I need someone that can make sense of what I'm saying to help me out some.

oh, also, I'd prefer to not run double coils in my 'play with flavors' tank

Since I'm using an iStick with the Nautilus Mini, I can't be specific with this (the iStick has a known issue of outputting more voltage than the display shows). But, I've found higher wattage/voltage settings produce more warmth. I think I know what you are talking about though, I started at 3 "iStick" volts which are higher than displayed and the vapor was too cool for my taste. Only when I went up to 4.1-4.2 volts did I start getting the feel of the vapor that I wanted. If you have a variable voltage device, try stepping up the voltage slowly and see if that helps. My sweet spot is around 9 watts/4.1-4.2 volts.

If you don't have variable voltage yet I think you will soon, if I remember your earlier posts in this thread (ordering an itaste vv maybe? That one's a good VV/VW battery I think).

Katya, I didn't 'doubt' that happens with as many times as I've seen people talk about 'cracked tanks' online and forum lol (not laughing that you did btw:)

I just now am curious and want to know HOW people crack a tank.

Not people--certain juice flavorings crack polycarbonate tanks. Usually citrus, cinnamon, banana, clove.

AND those that suggest a nautilus on this thread and another I started out with.....is it the actual vapor it produces they love? What I'm thinking....and being a newbie and only vaping around 3 months and only owned a few tanks and a few disposables the last week out of I HAD TO lol.....I'm thinking that the reason I last night said I wished I hadn't bought it is the way it actually produces its vapor. It seems too dry to me. I'm only guessing since I don't know enough yet and I'm basing this on what I've used and how it feels to me. It's not the juice I'm sure because I'm using the same juice as I did in my other tank and the disposable.

Vaping is not like smoking. There's a learning curve. They all work--if you take the time how to use them correctly. When you gain a little more experience, understand more about watts and volts and ohms and such, you'll be able to determine what you like best. But it takes time. Don't stress yourself out. Try a few different types and become familiar with them.

Still trying to decide what to order today for a 2nd tank and even thinking about getting an evod as a 3rd for now. I was afraid to make that statement for fear of being scolded about an evod but my other daughter loves hers and seemed like for the cost it would make a good extra. Just didn't know which evod.

As far as i know, there are only two eVods: eVod single coil and glass eVod--dual coil. They both work fine.

oh for crying out loud, my brain should be wrapped up in homeschooling not full of tanks and batteries lol I decided i was going to order a mini protank 2 and realized it is only ego threaded and I've already ordered an innokin itaste V3 which is only 510 thread. Or can I get any tank i choose and use an adapter? I'm getting serious headaches from reading nonstop. :(

Innokin VV V3 is dual threaded--just like any other eGo-class battery. No adapter needed. It will work with any 510 or eGo-threaded topper.

love another comment above about the nautilus lol, I wrote above that I bought it, been using it, not impressed where I'd buy a 2nd one. I need a 2nd tank or i'll go insane. as for the itaste v3 , I somehow suddenly thought it was only 510 threaded.....it's both?

It's both. Trust me.

The reason i can't have just one tank is I generally use a menthol tobacco flavor juice with specific nicotine level but on and off day and night I vape on a different flavor with lower nicotine, so no, one tank is not my thing at all.

You need at least two or three tanks. Trust me.

And two or three batteries. And extra chargers.

No, dual coils do not produce warmer vapor--they produce more of it because you're running two coils at the same time--but those coils are of higher resistance--thus cooler vape, unless you crank up the voltage. Wattage. :D

A 1.8Ω dual coil is actually two 3.6Ω coils.

oh, also, I'd prefer to not run double coils in my 'play with flavors' tank

Then get an eVod. Or a baby T3S.

I'm liking the kanger protank 2 right now, coil/wick looks like what my tank used that I started with and liked. BUT yesterday I had some people on here telling me that the 'exposed' wick types do not work well at all. (loved mine, no problems the first 4 or 5 weeks at all til i changed it hahahaa which is a different story but anyhow.

Ahem. Why don't you try for yourself? You like your eVod, right? ProTank is similar to eVod--only glass.

All Kanger coils work well. I've been using them for ever.

of course you are going to have coil and juice cost. But if a system due to dual coils, really doubles your cost of juice that is a big deal to someone like me, who just lost 300 a month of their income. I'm not vaping as a 'hobby'. I also never mentioned being 'cheap' since I'm looking for a good tank. I just said I can't afford to buy TWO good tanks at $30 or $35 a piece plus a new battery at $35 or $40.

I have both single and dual coils--they all work fine. Dual coils are nice because they produce more vapor and you may find them more satisfying. It's not exactly true that double coils double your cost--it's not true for me. I tend to vape less and take shorter drags with my dual-coil Aerotanks. Give them a try.

Kanger single coil tank are very inexpensive--get a T3S or and eVod.

An Aerotank can be had for under 20 bucks.

The coils last a long time with proper cleaning and they can also be rebuilt.

Deep breath. You'll do fine.

Katya thank you so much for soooo many nice helpful comments. I get overwhelmed (obviously) mainly because I was trying to get some ordering done before the weekend. I also homeschool my almost 8 yr old that has an LD and is severely ADD so that only has added to my confusion all week lol (he has bad weeks and it was one:) I had the ohm thing figured out but the dual coil (which I knew made more vapor) seems to ruin my brain. LOL OKAY BUT NOW I GET IT (honest:*pinkyswear that I do ;)
I know I must not want a 2.4 coil (that area) and maybe it's 1.8 that will be my thing (could be wrong of course, like you said I have to try some to figure that out) which is why I wanted a single coil so I had the option of trying different coils on the tank. So finding a tank that I can do that seems to be what I need to do. I had been looking at kanger and kept getting comments (lotsa private ones) about how awful kanger is. Which made me look at others,,,i'm now ignoring those comments

It's also hard to 'google' for help because half of the things I read insist bottom coil gives you more warmth and the other half say top coil gives you a warmer vape. I'm now refusing to google or read anything online LOL

About the Evods....No, I don't own one, my 2nd daughter does and I've used it. I wanated to stick to glass, the evod 2 is but it's dual coil...the first evod is single but not glass so....
I don't mind spending more money later on more tanks, it's right this very minute I don't want to make another $30 mistake so thought i'd try a 'few' (maybe 2 more) less expensive like you said I need to 'try'. I have two adult children that will get whatever I want for me for Christmas, I plan on asking for a tank or two. and coils lol (in our family we all always ask for what we 'need' we're 'practical on holidays teheheee)

I figured out right away that i needed two batteries because my starter kit was a 650 and I was like okay this doesn't work all day lol, but my 2nd is a cheapy and already toast as of yesterday. It was helping me get through the day/night til i did some research on batteries.
And yes, I ordered the innokin vv v3. battery and I know I need another. Can't decide if I should get a twist or just a reg. battery. Now that I'm down to one battery as of yesterday evening I don't have 'time' to decide which I thought that I did. *sigh
Ya never know, in a few months I may end up with the innokin mvp (tho it seemed way too heavy for me, I held it and played with it in the vapor store I found where they are actually informative, fun, nice great honest guys lol) SHOCKING compared to the others I've been to here in town.

Thanks above from you both about voltage/wattage, I've been researching that for a few weeks. But seems the actual tank/coil system plays a part in the 'warmth' I'm looking for. Can't wait til my innokin arrives to see what I think of the nautilus tank, may be a little better but now of course 'after' I bought the naut I hear from a lot of people that yes it gives you the actual 'vapor' that you want (a ton if you want it to) but is mainly always cool, not a warmer vape

fattlestar and Katya .....you've both been great....thanks for putting up with me

Orchid, I've quickly skimmed other responses, so if I sound like a broken record, please forgive.

I started with EVOD tanks, and for the first 5-6 months of my vaping journey, they have been pretty amazing. Granted, I do rebuild my coils (which I know is something you are not wanting to do.) For the size and simplicity, EVODs are pretty great. I do flip through a lot of flavors during the day, so having a (significant) number of tanks was appealing. I picked up a couple of full-sized and one mini Nautilus tanks. They are pretty wonderful, but the coils are a little spendy (unless you can find a good deal somewhere - best price I've been able to find is about $10/5-pack) The full-sized is way too big for my VV3 (although it sits better on other devices I have.) With the VV3, I don't like how they shorten my battery life because I need to run them almost full-bore to get the quality vape I want.

I like the size of the Nautilus mini, so I ventured out and picked up a couple (well, er, a bunch) of Protank 2s. I can use the same coils as I do for my EVODs (which for me means I can rebuild and basically never buy another coil). I did get the airflow controllers to go with them. They're not too top-heavy on the VV3, and I don't have to run as high of power to get a good vape. They're about 2mL each, so I'm not constantly refilling as I would have to do with my EVODs.

It's hard to recommend to someone what *they're* going to like, but my experiences with all my tanks lately have been pretty stellar. Hope you find something workable :)
