OK, this is crazy. My first 510 kit I got was amazing for about 3 weeks, then it wasn't producing any vapor, throat hit, leaking all over the place, etc. I replaced everything on it to no avail. I got a second 510 kit because I really like this model. Now this one looks different. It's like the gold band on the atomizer is thinner, and also the inside of the atomizer is different. I've also noticed the threads on the battery go deeper, and as such it takes a few more turns to get screwed on all the way. This one's working good so far, but if I hold down the button and hit it for more than five seconds, the light starts blinking at me and I have to wait a minute or two before I can hit it again. Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them? Also, would it be safe to use the thick gold-banded atomizers with the newer batteries I have? Because my old thick gold-banded atomizers heated up, just produced little to no vapor, and I'm wondering if I try them on my new batteries if it would make a difference. You can see pics as well if you google images of "joye 510" you'll see the two different types the gold band is thinner on certain models.

You should be able to the use Gold Banded attys with no issues with your newer batteries. From the sounds of it, it appears your new batteries have the infamous 5-Second Saftey cut-off to protect both the lifespan of the atty (Continuous use of the of more than 5 seconds may fry the atty) and also to prevent over-vaping. The batteries that I use from Nhaler and I also believe the Standard and Extended Batteries from Totally Wicked do not have the 5-Second Saftey cutoff.
