I've looked around and haven't found much on people vaping this high on a Protank 3. I used to run at about 8W, but the newest stock coils seem to handle MUCH more power and can keep up with chain vaping, so I've been running it at 20W. The flavor is out of this world for a Protank. I'm running it on a KBox.

Is anyone else running a Protank at these power levels?

And before anyone jumps on the "you can get more cloud of of X" bus, I use this tank at work only because it DOESN'T make the kinds of clouds my dripper or SubTank does.

If the wicking is keeping up, and the airflow is adequate, vape on my friend. Had a Protank 1 I had modified the airflow inlets to larger for more airflow and rebuilt the coil to 0.8 ohms and slapped it on a mech which was right in the range of 18 to 22 watts as an experiment to blow the minds of the cloud chasers at a local B&M. Once the tank pressurized from the heat and liquid thinned out after about 5 times firing it, it was keeping up with a 0.5ohm dripper. Nothing wrong, nothing wrong with running at 20watts at all.

If you can wick it, you can vape it. If it's not burning, go for it. I've never gone that high but do get better flavor out of mouth-to-lung devices. I've been experimenting lately with some of my 70VG juice in my newer subtanks. The flavor I get from dialing down the wattage to around 14 and closing off the airflow to the smallest setting (and it is small), I get incredible flavor from the juice. If I open it up and run it at 20 watts, lots of cloud but not much flavor.

I feel that even with my SubTank closed down to the tiny airholes, the draw isn't tight enough for a mouth to lung hit. But I don't feel that the SubTank was made for that anyways.

My wife recently switch from PT3 tanks because she just couldn't get above 9 watts, but uses a higher VG juice. I suspect that a lower ratio, you could.

The juice I use in my PT3 is primarily PG... It's pretty thin...
