Hi guys I'm new to all this but my question is, I built a dual 22g 7 wrap micro coil setup (assuming micro means small and dual means two coils) on my royal hunter with an ipv3 li 200w and it reads .18. I tested it and it glowed the proper way that all videos say it should. I'm just wondering if this is an alright setup for my vape. It's not the prettiest thing but it works Only thing is it seems to rip slightly dry no matter how much I juice it. Could this be a cotton issue or do I just suck idk what i'm doing lmao tips would be appreciated

Super low resistance builds are not needed on high wattage regulated devices. Try something closer to 1 ohm with a much thinner wire like 28G. You will more surface area, potentially a slightly more manageable heat flux, very fast ramp up/down times, stress your batteries less and get more run time on them.

With that low a resistance to the coils, the minimum wattage required is going to torch your juice really quickly, especially with micro coils. I would suggest picking up some 26 gauge and playing with that to learn to build. 28 as suggested above is also handy wire to use. 24/22 is great for folks that don't want to mess around with twisted or fused type builds. You may have some luck with your 22 gauge using a 7wrap 3mm i.d. single coil in the royal hunter with it in the single coil mode. Steam engine says that should be around .45.

Wicking is the most crucial part, check out some youtube videos like the yosh vapergate one to get some ideas on proper wicking. All the build videos you can watch will really let you see how folks prefer to wick, giving you all kinds of stuff to try out!
