24 gauge parrellel build

I have a 24 gauge 14 wrp on a 9/64 id going at 100w on my sigelei in a magma rda. If I did a parallel build of the exact same spec( except now it would be 7 wrp on each side parallell) will it heat up faster or just the same?

As you're not changing the wire gauge to optimize the (0.7Ω) resistance/coil count/wattage output... the single coil runs much hotter ("heat flux" value - 631 mW/mm2 - higher number is "warmer") and has a more rapid time-to-temperature ("heat capacity" value 67 mJ/K - lower number is "faster") than a dual parallel, at HF - 158 mW/mm2 / HC - 152mJ/K.

So basically i should stick with the 14 wrp macro for optimal results?

I noticed the heat capacity doesnt change when i put the spec into steam engine so i guess standard macro is the best option?

Using 24 gauge wire for a relatively mild 0.7Ω build - I certainly wouldn't call it optimal... but if 24 gauge is all you have, and 631 mW/mm2 works for you... sure, why not.
