Did some relatively new builds for me today.

Plume DUal parallell 26 gauge 8 wraps.jpgPlume Dual paraellel 26 gauge 8 wraps.jpgplume dual parallel wicked.jpgMutation v2 dual zipper2.jpgMutation v2 dual zipper.jpg

A plume viel clone with dual parallel 26 gauges, wrapped 7 or 8 times around a 7/64.
A Mutation X v2, with my first zipper build. 28 gauge and 7 wraps. Haven't hit the plume yet as I am waiting on some new juice, but the Mutation was hitting very nice, sadly I think I need to strip the build because the coils are very large and I think I am brushing up against the atty housing and getting a hot button. I think I will try to do a 4-6 strand 32 gauge zipper build on it. That should shrink the coils down and get me in .4 range I prefer. I did a test run with 28 gauge parallel coils in the plume last week and it was very nice at .4 ohms so I can't wait to get some of my new heavy juice and load her up.

:)Nice... funny enough i did a build in my mutationX yesterday that ended up to close to the collar, i need to watch the id of the coil isnt to big, atleast it has some headroom, the plumeveil witha chuff topcap can be a little short on headroom.
Another good coil is a parallel of 2x 28g twisted and a strand of 26g parallel to that.

Beautiful builds! I wish my were that neat. Once my coil made contact with atty and everytime it fired my beard hairs would move around (like static electricity). Funny but scary lol. If you want to tighten the coils up either use insulated tweezers while testing coils or use a lighter to heat coil before removing coil from whatever you used to make it.

Thats more or less standard operating procedure for me. Wind the coil, pop it into a set of tweezers and squeeze it tight then fire it with a torch. I ended up stripping out one of the coils on the zipper build, though after some further reading I probably didn't need to. I think what was happening was the ohms where so low in the atty, that I had a higher resistance elsewhere in the mod. Seems like anything with lower then .35 resistance will cause the button to heat up a bit. Not so hot to burn my fingers, but definitely noticeable.

Oh, the plume parallel build hits phenomenally. I haven't decided how I feel about the Mutation X v2 yet.
