I'm getting .4... going for huge warm flavorful clouds lol I'm currently using 26 gauge... Im just using my
rda for cloud chasing.
I use 27 gauge at around 0.6 ohms in single coil drippers and around 0.5 ohms with dual
coils. Never went with thicker wire than that. I have read of people using 24 gauge and doing very well with it. I imagine you'll have to keep the resistance low or the heat up time will get long.
I use micro coils in the drippers. I also use 1/8" diameter SS wicks in Genisis attys and wrap the coil on that. I don't think I would try micro coils with 24 gauge because you would need too many wraps to get your resistance to say 0.4 ohms. But I haven't done it, so who knows, it could work.
You probably know this already but just in case, be careful you don't take the resistance too low for your batteries. At 0.4 ohms you're pulling almost 10A. But if your DMM is off a bit or you get a partial short and it's really 0.2 ohms, you're drawing almost 20 amps. Battery choice is important here. The other thing to watch for with these high power setups is to avoid dry hits. I've experienced a couple at 25 watts with the Genisis and that's something I avoid at all costs now. VG and PG probably turn into something bad to inhale when you burn them that badly! At least it's much easier to avoid in a dripper.
Let us know how it goes when you try it
