Yes congrats as well from me. I'm on day 5 myself 100% off the analogs. I had to ween myself off even with my PV. I also can relate to Minefields post, to me analogs have always smelled good. I dunno If it comes from having a parent that smoked growing up or what. My mother had been off them for 15 years now and she still talked about how she thought they smelled good when I was smoking. My quitting point was 6 days ago when a friend was smoking, it smelled so good so I bummed one. I realized it didn't taste nothing like it smelled, and I didn't feel any different after smoking it. Thats what told me I was done with em.

Once again congrats, and good luck on those future days.

Mindfeild~ Ya I've thought about that a little. I do live with two smokers, my mom and brother. I do feel like i might get curious in a week or so to pick up an analog.... The thing is, and that I remind myself Is it won't be tasting the same. Its not going to be what I remember anymore. I think that's good, it helps keep me away. I'm sure the time may come i really DO need one.... for right now I'm doing my best to vape though the cravings. I'm so proud of not smoking a cigg i really don't wanna break my stride :p I very much appreciate the heads up and advice.

Pepsi I had to ween myself off the first couple days, untill i found using a higher nic level really really helped for me anyways. & congrats to you!

Yeah, it definitely doesn't taste the same. I didn't really know this at the time -- I'd never quit smoking long enough before that my tastebuds bounced back -- but the curiosity got the better of me a week in and I tried, and I was absolutely floored by how wretched it tasted after just a week off them. I took several puffs, just because it was like the flavour equivalent of passing a horrific accident on the highway; you just can't stop yourself from looking, and the worse it is the more you want to look, even though you know you shouldn't.

I didn't finish it though. I'm not that much of a masochist. :)

I think all of us have similar stories. Thanks for sharing yours. I truly loved blowing smoke, more than I loved smoking. Now I can blow vapor, and tons of it. Plus it's hot outside, and I don't like hot, so it's any wonder I smoked as long as I did. The addiction is crazy. Congratulations on the first day smoke free, or is it two now? I got my first starter kit and never picked up another cig, it is amazing. Good choice on the Ego. Just remember that what you spend on E-Cigs, even though you think you are spending a lot, will never pass analogs. Especially living up North. Welcome to the ECF!

lmao! I noticed after my first day an analog started to change its taste. I didn't like how lightheaded I was. I can only imagine the horror after a week!! I just keep reminding myself when a bad craving hits " Its not the same anymore, it will never be the same" and vape away :)

Up north let's see... About $7.50 for a pack of "cheaper" brand smokes and going as high as I really want to say 8.75 where I live. If its not 8.75 a pack I'm sure it will be soon anyways. Yes it is going to be officially two days very shortly! I think after 2 weeks I'm going to get myself a pedicure as a reward.

Wow 2 years rose... I can't wait untill I'm at two years... Trying to protect my right to vape. Called my state senator today who is actually in the damn committee of that "save lives" B.S 1305 bill!!

Well, it can be the same again, but to get there you have to power through days of nastiness. I still have no idea how I managed that when I first started smoking. I must have thought it was a manly rite of passage or something.

Dumb teenage stupidity.

Yeah, I heard about that. Really sucks what some politicians try to do. We're fighting our governing body right now just to have the right to vape.

Mindfeild~ My condolences, I heard about that. One day on vapor kings i saw " Sorry, we are no longer shipping to canada" I just thought... wtf? other herbs are basically okay up there but water vapor is not? At least for U.S. citizens i really hope they are calling their senators on top of popvox!

thank you reprisal!
lololol @ Liscab. This is true!

emcw indeed, im sick of contribuating to buisness that is in biz to kill people. One of the greatest things I've even found to be true with a handful of e-liquid vendors is they truly care that their products are safe for consumptoin and about you! So glad I joined the vape movement. It should be called #restoreingfaithinhumanity.

Health Canada's real beef is the lack of regulation, which is something the industry itself has to propose. So, what few vendors we have in Canada are banding together to come up with proposed regulation which hopefully Health Canada will look at and begin talks over and eventually, someday (we hope) legalize them once and for all. It isn't illegal to own or use anything E-cig related, it's only against Health Canada's moratorium on juices containing nicotine.

Whew.... well at least you can vape! Hopefully Canada will look into the matter and see the better, bigger, healthier picture. Once upon a time i swore Canada was very good for that at least.

Thanks Baldr & Deb :)

If nothing else, it's just proof that politics is the same no matter where you go. That whole "Canadians are so nice" thing? Propaganda. All of it.

Outstanding. I never thought i would quit. Started rolling my fathers pipe tobacco when i was 12. By the time i was 15, i carried a pack. 37 years later, i was a 2 pack a day Red smoker. Worst part was i was trying to quit for the last 20 years.

Copd wake up call remotivated me to try one last time. That was 100+ days ago. Tried a cigg two weeks ago just for the heck of it. Tasted terrible. Had to rinse my mouth out and wash my hands, then vaped some nice ry4 at 6v and my gosh...
