I bought myself and my girlfriend an e-cigg at a local smoke shop.

The company is E-Health Cigarette. e-healthcigarettes dot com.

I just wanted to know your guys' general thoughts on the quality of the ciggs.

I also had a question about it, I have cartridges from this company, and inside

is a small metal cover that gets punctured by the atomizer, and I was wondering

if a refill that has cotton will work.

That was the first one I bought to see if I would like vaping. IT WAS AWFUL. That night I found this forum and ordered a 510. I now have a Riva which is a big battery 510. It has a vapor that is warm like a analog. You should check them out. Alt smokes has them on sale for $49. Yes you can refill them but the cart is so small you will be refilling all the time

Welcome aboard cjbuttahs...as you can see by my # of posts I'm still a noob, but I'll give it a shot. I'm not familiar with the specific brand you mentioned, but in my case I started with blucigs brand (apparently they are very popular among noobs like myself). They also had that tinfoil, puncture the cartridge thing, same as yours. I can tell you that, while technically they worked, I just wasn't "feeling it".

I came back here and really started reading what the long-timers were saying, and about 2 days ago I got myself an original JoyeTech (or "Joye") 510 starter kit for under $50 bucks. There are a lot of knock-off 510's out there (less expensive) that aren't specifically made by JoyeTech. Some say get only genuine JoyeTech, some think it doesn't matter as much.

In any case, I can tell you 100% without a doubt, that getting a Joye (or one of the other popular models discussed here at ECF) as opposed to one of the blucig-type e-cigs will most likely make a TON of difference. Again, I can't say for sure b/c i haven't tried the e-health brand. Keep in mind too, that the $50 (many times less than $50 if you shop for a deal) Joye 510 starter kit will probably include 2 batteries, and possibly 2 atomizers (depending on the company). If you're on a budget, you and your girl could pick up a starter kit + add one extra charger, and share a kit between the two of you, at least in the beginning while trying it out. Keep in mind though that the batteries can run down kind of quick depending on how much you smoke (vape).

Thank you everyone for the responses. I've had this thing for two full days now, and honestly I love it. Surprisingly the taste of these carts are very similar to the ciggs I used to smoke, and the nicotine does the trick. The charge lasts all day, meaning till about 9 at night of constant use. So I do have to charge it at night, but I don't chain smoke anyway.

Don't have too much extra money at the moment to be buying other equipment, but as soon as I do, I'm sure I'll upgrade. What would you guys recommend as a permanent change?

Riva/Ego if you can handle the extra size. huge battery, uses 510 standard atty/cartomizers and you can find starter kits for about 50 bucks after shipping now.

As for the "goo" in your other post, that is the e-liquid. not 100% sure about the carts used in your brand of e-cig, but most likely it's PG or propylene glycol with flavoring and nicotine added in (and some water). As you get more familiar with e-cigs, you'll want to try out VG or vegetable glycerin blends to see if you like PG or VG better or a mix of the two.

the consistency of the liquid depends on the brand, i think. i have some liquid thats thicker than others. few tips, my blu cigs carts came like that. the foil that covers the carts inside. it works better if u take a paper clip and poke out the smaller cart and remove all of the remaining foil sealant for better atty-juice contact.

Welcome cj!

I'm not familiar with that brand, but I suspect you can get more durable e-cigs for a lot less money by shopping online.

I also suspect that you're confusing your terms. The part that screws onto the battery is the atomizer. The part that you refill with e-juice is the cartridge. Many e-cigs have the cartridge and atomizer combined in one piece, called a cartomizer. When you have time, go to the ECF library forum and read DonDaBoom's 6-part series on e-cigs; it's very entertaining and informative.

Good Luck!

I've got the parts right. I said that the atomizer poked into foil. :)
