Hi,

The istick Pico Mega is asking for a 26650 cell with a continuous discharge rating above 35A.
I had a look about but none of the sites I checked have anything with a CDR that high and reading a few of the blogs I don't know if I'd trust the rating anyway.
Does anyone know where I could get one?
It seems kinda stupid to design a mod that can't get batteries.

3.2v is the low voltage cutoff / the battery voltage at which the power device will no longer fire.
If yours stops firing at a different voltage use whatever v your specific device no longer fires.
All regulated power devices have a low voltage cutoff as a saftey feature.

Again, resistance is irrelevant when calculating battery amp demand when using a regulated power device.
The battery powers the chip/regulator (input) the chip powers the delivery device (output).

Cool. So I can use a .15 at 75w even though my mod says it's 22.4A as long as I have 75w/3.8v left in my 20A battery would only be 19.7A. My chip displays W/Ohm's and W/V I'm using not the V of my battery like a mech mod. So he could run 0.1 Ohm at 80w safely even though his mod would say 28.3A... good to know thanks.

Where did you get 3.2v from? That would be 68W at .15 not 80w. It will shut off if I go above say 3.4v when the battery only has 3.3v left? It was my understanding all aspects of ohm law had to be in range not just one. I could be wrong I was just always as safe as possible.

Ohm's Law for vaping
Mechanical or Unregulated (Voltage/Resistance=Amps (voltage is fresh charge so 4.2v))
Regulated Mod (Watts/Lowest Battery Voltage/Mod Efficiency=Amps (most mods cut off 3.2vper battery, mod efficiency can be between 85% to 95%, so divide by 0.9 to get a ballpark)

Yeah he is using W/V=A though. Don't go by resistance said. Basically can use 5v on .15 and be ok cause battery shuts off at 3.2v and full has 4.2V cause 80w/3.2 is 25A at full battery life it would only be 19A. So V/R=A would be way over with .15. V/R=A, W/R=A and W/V it's set at all equal what my mod displays as Amps.

I'm more confused then ever now, thanks guys! lol. W/3.2v/0.9, now I can't go over 60W on my 75W mod... It won't even fire apparently.

Well you could, with an LG HG6 which is a 30amp battery but only 1500mah an LG HG2C 2000mah being 25amp CDR could do so as well. Rought figure I go by, 20amp battery 60watts max per battery, 25amp battery about 80watts max per battery, 30amp battery about 95watts max per battery.

Thanks man, I heard people say 75w with 1 18650 ain't safe but never understood why. Reading posts I was told if I stayed above 0.2 Ohm's I'd be ok... misinformation here eh? lol
Why muddy up / hijack the OP's thread about 26650 batteries for a Pico mega because you don't understand the basics of regulated power devices.

There are sub forums for almost every power device available and a battery & chargers specific sub forum with tons of info.
Sorry I know IMF knows his stuff. I'm still kinda new to the site. Guess I should PM him next time.

Well that should answer why 25A would be more then enough before you even ask OP. The ones that say something crazy like 80A were tested to be 25A. Just don't get eFest(from what I've read)... AWT 4500mAh 75A I heard was the best. From Mooch,
Basen Black 4500mAh
Brillipower Green 80A 4500mAh
Efest Green 20A 4200mAh
Efest Purple 40A 4200mAh (Not recommended yet due to the one dud cell)
MNKE Orange 35A 3500mAh (NOT RECOMMENDED, due to all the fakes being sold)

Anyone ever try these or know if they are truly 35 amp CDR?
Hohm GROWN INR 26650 32.3A(CC) 51.6A(P&P) 3.7V 4307mAh Batteries
Mooch added it to his updated list, I can't find it anywhere. "This is only a 23A cell that I am rating at 4300mAh. It is identical in appearance and performance to the Basen and Brillipower 4500mAh cells. It is damaged after just a single discharge at its 32.3A rating and the voltage at that discharge current level is very low. The Grown cell only delivers 181mAh down to 3.2V at its rated 32.3A. Having said this, it is still one of the better performing 26650's as it seems to use the same cell as the Basen and Brillipower 4500mAh cells. The 26650 ratings/performance table has been updated to include the Grown cell." -Mooch

Basic rule of thumb type battery name with the word Mooch in search engine if it's not LG, Samsung or Sony. OP thread is totally "muddy up'd" now lol. All good I do the same thing, better to ask people who know then start a thread and get 10 different answers lol.
