To give you an idea just ordered everything but wire to build a dual 18650. I'm using an acrylic box, no charge board, and did buy two lg he2's. Total $60 and I still have to build it, so you did good
Do u build with mosfit this One don't have one it has a 3a250v switch in it as asked him about it and this is what he said sounds good
Yes 44 amps at 4.2volts only.....you gotta use ohms law....volts times amps gives you wattage (3amps x 250volts =750watts) using ohms law to convert wattage to the lower voltage (750 watts ÷ 4.2volts = 178amps) ....so the switch is rated maximum 178 amps at 4.2 volts which is the voltage of a full battery
I've been an electrician for 14 years so its common knowledge to me
So I'm just going to run it and see how itgos

That is completely wrong. That is a 3A switch, period. No switch is rated in watts and you can't convert like that. The 250V rating applies to the clearance between part and the switches ability to stop current flow up to that voltage without arcing across the gap. The guy in that video has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to switches.

That is not a safe setup.

I feel like I should throw in if you have ever worked with a contact plate load switching system you know how huge the contacts for a high amp load are.

I guess a majority of residential and commercial electricians have never done any lineman's work though.

I did electrical work residential mostly for 10 years and you right didn't work on switch gears very much, lol. People try to thin if volts are lower then amps dont matter but both have to line up.

I didn't watch the video just looked at the price and price of buying parts. He could add a couple of MOSFETs pretty easy.

I went with 18650 dual parallel to get away with just using one mosfet, simple and less heat.
