Is there any way to fix this or is it just the way it is? I rolled a . 9 ohm microcoil which was awesome for the amount of coverage it gave but good lord it took forever to heat up. I removed it and went back to my 27g and it's much faster. Did I build wrong or is that just the way it is? Rolled it, heated it up, pinched with needle nose to make sure the coils all touched hit the fire button but still took a while to start glowing. Kinda sucks I was pumped about the 26g wire.

I'd suggest playing around with your builds. I've found that with the thicker wire even a single wrap (+ or -) will have a big effect on how your coil preforms.

I run a 26ga K, 11 wraps, 1.4mm ID, comes out to 0.8ohm.
The lag is minimal (less than 1 second) and it gives a warm flavorful vape. If I add just one more wrap the lag increases quite a bit, performance suffers, flavors change, etc.

It may turn out that 26ga just doesn't suit your tastes when trying to balance vape production, flavor, heat, and lag time. But since you bought the wire, you might as well play around and see if something clicks.
