28 days by sea from China - Anyone tried it

I've been quote £0 for sea delivery but for 28 days, has anyone used this delivery service? Is it any quicker.

I received free delivery from David Yang at East Mall and it too about a month to arrive, but arrive it did!

Is that a real question? Reason I ask is because 28 days by sea vs. a few days in the post... Seems pretty obvious to me that it wouldnt be quicker.

Put it this way, you will forget what you ordered by the time it gets there. Pay the extra money for air.

It was a real question and one without thought. I don't actually know how long it takes to sail that far. If it was actually a week and air took as long with more logistics, it could be relative. But yeah, it was blinding obvious when you replied.

Its heavy so to me it was worth asking. Thanks for the replies. I've got itchy pants anyway.

As far as i know, you will have to clear customs yourself if sent by sea mail.

Air freight like EMS, DHL, UPS etc will clear customs for you.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

You have to consider the extended exposure to salt water air also. Some imports I've dealt with in the past have been damaged from corrosion......if it's hardware, I wouldn't want to risk the exposure.
