I'm running 9 wraps around an 1/8" drill bit in a micro coil (the wraps are tight together) with a cotton ball wick in an IGO S and getting around 1.1 to 1.3 ohm. For 1.5 ohm I'd go with 12 to 13 wraps.

I run a similar setup on an Igo-L except I build on a 1/16" drill bit with 11 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal. 1.3-1.4 ohms every time. Oh, and a cotton wick as well (Is there really any other wick out there??).

How do you make a coil with 13 wraps? seems like you couldnt fit it in the cap even if the coils were touching, i dunno...I got one at about 1.9 with i think 6 wraps, maybe 7, havent used it yet though...important thing is I got something I can use with the Vamo now. Sucks trying to get this thing on and off the mod though, the cap doesnt fit on very tight with these octopuses...octopi? Whatever.

You wrap a micro coil. Wrap the coil around a 1/16" drill bit.

I'd go a little bigger ID than that. 5/64" or 3/32" (2 or 2.4 mm) would prevent a crazy wide coil at 1.5 ohms. It would still be more than 8 wraps at the bigger ID with the 28 gauge wire. With 30 gauge, 1/16" is generally perfect.
