About a week ago I made a simple 17670 tube mod.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/176509-new-users-first-tube-mod.html

Decided to another with some improvements as I really wasn't a fan of the big switch sticking out the side (C&K 3A from madvapes).

So, I got another solder sucker, JUST managed to squeeze in a PIC, a single dual color LED, and output IC, added some simple touch controls.

Hold to vape
Tap 3 times to de-activate/activate switch (lock)
Tap 4 times to de-activate/activate LED (stealth)

LED alternates red/green while active. Flashes red twice when deactivating, Flashes green twice when activating, and flashes 2 short red/green flashes when switching LED on/off.

The output from the same battery seems stronger than it did through the switch in the other tube, which is quite a bonus.

Was thinking of adding variable voltage next with a couple of 16370's, but really quite keen on finding a nice looking tube to use for a larger battery.

Anyhow, I decided to call this my Sucker, coz it used to be a Solder Sucker.

I'll make a schematic up tonight if I get a chance.

But the touch input is pretty straight forward, the case of the tube is high (+ve).

The touch contact is the center post of a atomiser connector pushed into a 3ml LED mount to keep it insulated from the case. This is wired to one of the input pins of the PIC (a 12F675), the input pin is also pulled low by a 1M resistor.

Touching the contact at all is enough to register a high input in the PIC code, and its de-bounced in software.

The PIC completes the circuit using a IPS1031, low side switch.
