First, I know this is better off in the Modding Forum, but since I can't post there yet, here will have to do. Any help is better than none!

All I am trying to do is wire up a 510 Auto Switch. What I'm using is the same thing available at madvapes, here:

510 Auto Switch

I assumed it would be as simple as connecting positive wire to the positive terminal of the battery, then bridging of the negative wire before the LED board to the negative terminal of the battery.

However, doing so just gets 3 flashing lights from the switch when the battery is connected, but the atomizer will not fire.

I have tried multiple switches, batteries and atomizers and searched all over the forum. I'm sure it is something simple that my frustrated mind is overlooking, if anyone can help shed some light on it, that would be amazing!

P.S. Although this is my first post, I've been a member for nearly a year and actively using the forum. Everyone here is great and I'm glad to be a part of it, no matter how small! Happy Holidays to everyone

Ok This may be a rather odd question, but here goes. What battery(specifically voltage) are you trying to run this with and what ohm atomizer? I'm Gussing some sort of box mod, and when you draw on the atomizer what specifically happens. I think the three flashes is a power on self test(p.o.s.t.) then from ther you would(should) just need negative pressure on the atomizer to get it to apply battery voltage, possibly only allowing up to ~4.2v to be applied to the contacts. We should be able to help with a little more info....

No problem. The battery is an AW IMR 18350, so 4.2V full charge and I recently tried 2.3ohm and 1.8 ohm atomizers.

I am attempting to mod an old tobacco pipe, but at the moment I have everything wired with clips to make sure it will all work together prior to soldering as necessary.

When I draw on the atomizer, nothing happens. The LED does not light and the atomizer does not fire.

The 3 flashes being a POST makes sense though. I assumed since it wasn't firing that it was an error code.

Ok Good. Now if you have a meter to test with heres what you should try. get ANYthing that you can draw the battery down , say to under 4v to around 3.7v. Lightbulb in a flashlight, or other simple(safe) load. The reason I say this is because way back when I bulit a friend a boxmod who just "had" to have an auto switch. The switching circuit did not like a fully charged battery at all. It really only began working right at 3.85v and then would cut out at 3.32v. I suspect this is your issue as well. Also the auto switch I was using didn't work worth a crap under 2ohms either, low current limit i suppose. In the long run He ended up prefering the loanerbox I gave him and I ended up ditching the auto portion just because of those two issues. Hopeully you find the issue. Let us know if that helps.
