Ok, so Friday rolls around and it's time for my wife's company Christmas party. It's always a little rowdy and plenty of people drinking, but smoking is only allowed outside. It's held at a small local restaurant that shuts down for the party. So the company people are the only ones there.

I get there and hang out for a while...I do know the owner of the restaurant, but we aren't good friends or anything. So after a while I step back into the kitchen and present my e-cig, and ask him if it's alright if I use it. He had no problem at all with me using it, and even told his employee's that are smokers they should get one, cause i had a small crowd by this point.

So the entire night we sat at our table, me and my wife puffing away on our RN4081s. I even set the cartridges out on the table and filled them from my bottle of Johnson Creek juice whenever needed. I got a few strange looks, but no one said a thing to us.

Let me say my wife works at a medical clinic so the following makes sense. So as things were winding down and we walked outside, the Doctor who works with my wife is outside smoking a cig. I present him the e-cig, he thinks it's cool and asks to try it. I let him try it, not sure what he thought, but overall a very positive experience.

Now the next night, Saturday, my wife and I, plus a good friend and his wife, go out on a double date. We went and ate at a restaurant and then took in a movie at the local theater.

I had my e-cig in my pocket at the restaurant the entire time, and since my best friend insisted on eating 3 plates of crayfish, I decided to vape in the restaurant because I had a nicotine craving. My friend picked out seats, which happened to be in the middle of a well lit room full of people. So I tried to hide what I was doing, I covered most of the e-cig with my hand, and held the vapor in for a while as not to exhale much. No one said a thing, although I caught a few strange glances.

Next we hit the movie theater, I vaped during the movie, and no one said anything. I did keep the LED covered up good, and held the vapor, but nothing was said.

Overall very good experiences vaping in public, even though some was stealth vaping.

I always enjoy hearing others public vaping experiences and thought I'd share mine.

Thanks,
David

It's our family tradition to all go see a movie on Christmas so today we went to see Sherlock Holmes (love Robert Downey!) I stealth vaped while standing in line and during the whole movie. It's so nice to not start getting antsy for the movie to be over so I can smoke. Besides, it was 20 degree's with a stiff wind today! And there I am all warm and cozy enjoying the movie and my pv, god I love these things!!

Everybody that I have talked to thought it was nuts except one. Although I think I made a couple think about it.

I've had the opposite experience. Most of the people I've talked to have been impressed to the point that I had to write down some websites for them. There was one who seemed to be the whole "I enjoy smoking, I'm not gonna mess with those" type at first but by the end of the night he seemed pretty convinced or at least he no longer turned his nose up to it. That was in large part due to his enthusiastic friend who had heard about them before ("Hey, is that that water vapor ****?") :D

This isn't exactly public, but I took it out at Christmas dinner at my sisters house. I had several people try it. All were amazed. Two of people who tried it don't even smoke (I think - they may be closet smokers around us old folks).
The person who needs to try it the most, my dad, wouldn't touch it. I got to thinking it might have been because of how many mouths it had been in . . . I'll open a cart in front of him and ask him to try that the next time I see him.
I don't know when I will be bold enough to just DO IT in a public non-smoking area . . .
