this new one just won't CHARGE the Annoying stupid battery! Why do They even have stupid batteries! Why can't they be more like the Vapor King PS's that connects directly to USB! No Useless Malfunctioning battery! God!

I've tried Connecting directly to usb on my computer, still won't charge, Tried on my ipod wall adapter charger thinger, Nothing.. when my first one blew up I took out the battery then it started heating up and I smelled a burnt plastic. Peice of Garbage! This is the last straw for me! My Vapor King from Vapor4life should be here monday hopefully I can't wait!

510s are complete garbage! The batteries last 20mins! Their USB PS's are cheap plastic peaces of CRAP! Not enough flavor comes out of the 510 attys just lots of useless vapor, Their attys overheat too easily, leaving you with nasty burnt taste! Liquids keep leaking out of the cart into my mouth no matter how lil i put juice in with the perfect PTB Mod. the PCC's and wall chargers are too finicky and don't charge the already malfunctioning battery properly! Ultra Fail! I wish I could get all the money I spent on 510 crap back!

Expensive lesson learned: Don't buy a 510! (At the very least just buy 510 attys and a 901 battery adapter or something because the 510 Batterys & passthru's Suck ...!)

It would be cheaper to go back to analogs then going through his, thank god my VK is coming.

I believe the manufacturer of these crappy PS's is Janty if I remember the labeling on the chip inside of the case right. "Janty Kissbox"

I guess the quality of the passthroughs has gone waaay down since I purchased mine, it took lots of abuse and is attached to a Kensington USB battery all day in my pocket!! As for the PCC, I agree they are crap! They charge slowly and self discharge themselves, not very useful at all! 510 batteries (manual) last not so long but just long enough for vaping on planes for me other than that the 510 is not my everyday vape :)

You can probably guess from my avatar what type of PV I vape all day :)

Cut the whole battery thing out and splice the line back together. Give that a try, you have nothing to lose.

Just make sure you do it correctly so it doesn't short and damage your computer power supply.

Depending on your USB, it will up the power to 5volts, but your amps will be limited to what the USB puts out prob 500mA. That will lower the wattage that the atty is running at and take away the burnt flavor you are talking about.

The 510 atty has a lower resitance than the 901/801. This allows more amps to flow, using more wattage and giving you more heat. This is the reason for the burnt flavor and the low batt life. Run at 500mA (from the USB no batt) this becomes the limiting factor, not the resitance of the atty, so therefor the 510 should vape like the 901/801.

interesting, I used a ipod charger to connect the passthru I no longer connect it to my computer for fear that i might fry it. I donot have the tools to split and re solder wires unfortunately so Im stuck with two crappy batterys untill my vk arrives.

Just bare the wires, separate them, and twist them together. Cover individually with electrical tape, or in a pinch masking tape or just about any tape. Make you you do not leave plugged in unattended.

****** DISCLAIMER ******** This is not good electrical practice to do it this way. Crimp or solder and heatshink is correct. This was intended as a post of what to do in a bind..
