I think the first mistake was maybe the primer? I read somewhere to blow it out. How do you do that? Canned air? Anyway, it was SUPER hot and nasty last night. It has calmed down, but the flavor and vapor is not there. Does it need to break-in? I ordered it because I thought it would be pretty close to dripping, and I was suprised to see filler in the atty.

The hybrid atomizer that comes with the vmod XL/2.0 kit does not have primer. I didn't even bother with the silo cartomizer they included in the kit.
Your post is vaguely worded and unspecific. What was super hot and nasty last night? I picked up a vmod 2.0 a month ago when vapage had the 50% off sale and am really enjoying the vmod. No leaks, great flavor and vapor. The bottom feed mechanism with the included hybrid atomizer has been working great since day one.
If you're using the hybrid atty that comes with the kit, a few drops should be dripped into it from the top before you take the first pull. After that it's all bottom feed goodness from there.
Based on your comment it sounds as though you're using the silo cartomizer. There should have also been a hybrid atomizer with a 2.0 ohm label on the side of it - that's the atomizer.

Glad to hear it Kremppie. As you now see, the kits come with one Silo Cartomiser and one Hybrid Atty.
Sorry you had such a tough time with the carto. I'm guessing you didn't fill it first -- and then oversaturated/overfed it.

I thought I filled it well enough, but the drip tip was too hot for my mouth, and it smelled and tasted like chemicals. All is well now, but I don't think I like the set-up that much. Too bad there isn't a swap-meet.
There is --- we have a Classified Section on ECF. Do a search and you will find out what it takes to be able to get verified and requirements for using the area.
And, who knows, when you get all that done you might change your mind. I have found that there is small learning curves with every new mod/tank/atty I have bought.
(And, that sound like you got a Bad carto. It happens with every brand on occasion.)
