The answer to that question depends on the resistance of the atomizer you are using at 5 volts.
A 2ohm atomizer at 3.7 volts is 6.85 watts of power.

At 5 volts, a 3.7ohm atomizer (standard 901) would give you 6.76 watts
At 5 volts, a 2.3ohm atomizer (standard 510) would give you 10.87 watts, which is way too much for most people.

See this chart for more details...

You should be able to use low resistance KR8 cartos on a stronger KR8 battery like one of these:
Elegant Easy from CigEasy
PigCig from leCig

or you can use a 510 to 808 adapter on a Riva 510 or Ego and use LR KR808D-1 cartos on that
(and of these above should use their own charger, and you cannot charge slim batteries on the fast battery's charger cable)

You don't even have to buy a whole kit - you could buy one fat battery and one charger cable for it and charge it overnight and use that battery for LR cartos.

But the increased current draw of using an LR atty or carto on a slim battery can kill the battery - the electronics in the slim batteries are not built to handle that.

If you want more heat out of standard KR8/Vapor4Life cartos then you need higher voltage and variable voltage would be a good choice for that so you can adjust it.

Or you can just buy a spare normal KR808D-1 battery so you have a spare and go ahead and try the LR carto on it. Maybe KR8's can handle it better than slim 510's can.
