Hi all...

First order from MV. I got the eGo-style passthru battery, and it doesn't want to fire, on or off the USB cable. The button LED lights up, so I know the switch is working (and that it's on), but it won't fire up an atty. I tried the 510 stuff I also got from MV: mega dual-coils, smok Tech cartos, and a 306. I also tried some 510 clearos I had lying around, and one of my 808 cartos with a 510-808 adapter. Nothing will fire. I tried testing it with a voltmeter, and I don't seem to be getting a reading, although one of my attempts resulted in a reading of about 2.6V.

Is there something wrong with my new battery, or am I missing something? This is my first 510 or eGo style PV (all my other batts are 808s), so I'm not ruling out the possibility that I've overlooked something. I don't need an adapter to go from an eGo batt to a normal 510 cart/atty, do I?

Thanks in advance!

No you should not need an adapter. I would say that you center pin in not making contact, but you said you checked it witha multimeter and didn't always get a reading. If you haven't tried yet, I would try raising the pin a bit to see if that does anything. My next guess would be a loose wire. I am sure MV will replace it if this is the case.

AcedN704: Thanks for the reply. Yes, you're thinking of the right one, and 5 button presses turns it on or off. The LED in the button does not light up when it is off. So I'm sure that it's on, but not firing.

Normally I would trust my multimeter on something like this, but it's so blasted difficult to get (and keep) the leads in the right position on these things. I just don't want to go through a 2-week return process only to find out that it was something stupid.
