Thanks everybody for the replies. Will getting LR boge cartos and using them on my ego battery give me a some what similar 5v vaping experience? Am I just going to have to deal with the "airy" draw or can this be fixed?

Oh BTW I am using 80/20 pg/vg blend from gourmet vapor.

Thank everybody again.

It will be better than what you have but it won't be at the 5 volt level.

@wv I am actually considering getting a GLV3 but don't know if I will be better served with a 3.7v or a 5v. But at $200 for a mod I want to be sure as it has taken me a year to talk my husband into buying it for me. I would really like to try to find the "sweet vape" that I see everyone talk about on here. Would the volts make a difference with the draw or it that something that atty/carto/or tank would address?

I've been using an ego. My next one will be a Buzz Pro.

IMO, once you get something past the eGo, it should be variable voltage. (VV) I've picked out the Buzz Pro, but the same folks make the Infinity Pro, and there are other popular ones, like the Provari and the Darwin.

In the sub-forums where the Buzz Pro folks hang out, there is a poll about what voltage people liked best - their sweet spot. Over 75% of the votes were in the 4.0 to 4.75 range. The only way you have any options in that range is to use a VV system. And using a VV mod, you can dial in to what you want, and you can easily adjust if you want. Some flavors, for instance, do better at one voltage, where another juice might make you happier with a little higher or lower voltage. With a VV system, you can always get what you want.

I can't understand paying a lot of money for any mod that doesn't do VV.

I don't say that 5v is better than 3.7v. I say they are different, and there is no law that says I can't enjoy both. I also enjoy an eGo at 3.4v.

    Now about that airy draw;
    Here's my trick

    See that o-ring?
That 306 atomizer on there is way to airy for my liking. I will slide that o-ring up so that it partially covers the connection so that it has a stiffer draw.

I know that everyone has what works for them, and I am very new to vaping, but after reading the ECF for hours a day the last month, I very much agree with you Baldr. I've been using ego batteries with Boge LR's and now just ordered an Infinity Pro. Pretty sure I will be very happy with that one :)

    I agree!

Now... I'm gonna order some HR cartos and really give my BP a work out. But, thus far I'm rockin' with the BP and 1.5Ω DCs. My range is 3.7-4.7 VDC, joose dependent.

I really can't 'see' what the diff twix 3.7 and 5 VDC would be, assuming one selects the proper resistive carto/atty per voltage. It's the wattage/temp that determines the 'sweet zone'.

In other words, select a suitable resistance device for the voltage available/used!

I consider the batts mAh the true variant in the factors available, vaping time per charge. All others factors can be 'balanced' with proper device selection.

VV does allow using day-um near any carto/atty/joose combo. To me, that's the only major advantage to consider.
