Well bought my first proper eCig 5 weeks ago. Did try vaping back in 2010 with a cig-a-like thing bought from Amazon for about 20 quid. I was completely underwhelmed by it, and gave up about 15 mins later.
SO 5 weeks ago I went into a B&M shop and asked about starter kits. They had one advertised for 15 quid, wich came with a small battery, a CE5, a charger, and 10 mils of eliquid.
Now the guy working there recommended I go for a bigger battery and a better tank, but I thought he was just upselling, so ignored him and went for the cheapest, and a bottle of GV tobacco liquid.
So this thing sat around the house for a couple of weeks doing nothing until I woke up one morning realising I had run out of smokes. I looked out of the window and it was blowing a hurricane, pissing it down with rain, and I really did not feel like going out to buy fags.
Decided then I'd have ago at vaping,
Well, after sitting down for 20 mins with a cup of coffee, sucking away at this new toy, I was pleasantly suprised. Did not feel like an analogue at all and thought to my self, hey, I can do this, despite being a 30 a day since I was 14 smoker.
Within a week, I wished I had listened to the guy at my shop. The small ego battery frustrated me, and the CE5's really were crap. I walked out with a nice spinner, and a Kanger PT mini 2.
I also realised how ....e tobacco flavours are, and and now love tangy, citrusy and berry flavours.
Also this is not as cheap as I thought.
I own 2 x 600mAH ego batts, 2 x Vision Spinners @ 900mAH, 1 x 1300 mAH Smoktech spinner, 2 x PT minis, a few CE5's and about to buy a Vision Victory this morning, probably got through about 40 quids worth of fliuid now.
After xmas will be getting a Vamo mod I think. Kinda settled on a 1.8 ohm coil at about 4.2 volts with a 65/35 pg/vg strong fruit liquid. Have plans to DIY and have a starter kit on order.
On the plus side a have only really craved an analogue about 3 times, and a heavy vaping session has soon killed the craving.
Glad I found this forum, everyone has been kind and helpful, despite me getting 2 warnings in my first day!
Cheers for now, and happy vaping
Tom x

. . .Did not feel like an analogue at all and thought to my self, hey, I can do this, despite being a 30 a day since I was 14 smoker. . .

Stick with it, and before you know it you'll be celebrating your 3 year no smoke anniversary like me. When I started vaping I had smoked tobacco for more than 52 years. I was going thru 2.5 PAD. I don't vape anymore, don't smoke either. I'm living proof one can quit tobacco using ecigs. . .then, quit ecigs. That was my intent when I started and I got there. . .easier than I thought it would be. But, ya gotta wanna. :2c:

Good luck with YOUR quit(s). JMHO

Cheers,

So it doesn't sound like I'm quitting a rentboy addiction then ?

Well, if it works to replace that terribly expensive habit as well, then wow, vaping really is the miracle worker, lol ;):p. Seriously though, I think we all know the slang for smokes. Even this very "yankee" girl doesn't know anyone that uses that word in the bigoted way (does anyone use it that way anymore? It is the 21st century, after all).

Sounds like you've got yourself set up quite properly now. Those spinners are definitely the way to go, as far as "stick" style batteries. Worth every penny. And PT minis match up really nice, aesthetically speaking (and yummy vapes, too). Gratz to you, and vape on, brother!
