I was smoking a pack to a pack and a half of Kools a day for about 35 years. Quit cold turkey once I started vaping a little over 3 months now. Started vaping at 18 nic for the first month. Went to 12 for the second month and then 6 for the third month. Am now at 0 for all my new juices. Was not hard for me to go lower each month. Now I am just vaping for the fun of it and don't feel I have any addiction.
Now to try and save some money. Bought a lot of gear over these 3 months and think I am set for a while. So now it's time to buy a gallon of PG and a gallon of VG and some flavoring and start playing around instead of paying $20 for each 30ml bottle of all this premade juice.

Wish me luck and good luck to everyone out there. It's a lot easier to wean yourselves of the nic juice than you think. If I can do it so quick after 35 years of smoking one of the strongest cigs out there, I think you can too.

VAPE ON!!!!

To tell you the truth, I cant even feel a big difference. But I like to add a few drops of menthol too sometimes.

congratulations! Ive had a similar experience with starting around 18mg nic, and now down to 4mg and 0mg. Reason for not ordering all 0 mg nic is cause every now and then I want that throat hit, which can really only be produced with nicotine...

have you found it difficult to get over the feeling that 0 mg nic has no throat hit?

I have been vaping for a little under 2 months. I started at 24 mg then stepped down to 18mg and 12mg. Now, I am currently at 6mg. I am comfortable at 6 mg, but, over time, I will get down to 0mg. I actually filled my protank with some 16mg juice I had, and I couldn't handle it. lol. Once, I am thinking of buying some 0mg juice to mix with my 6mg to make 3mg. I adminre all those who have accomplished the drop to 0mg. I have heard it is hard.

I have read that nicotine in small amounts is actually good for you. Helps with the digestive system. I also understand they are giving nicotine to dementia patients.

A psychologist told me that nicotine will help control my ADD. (I am not sure how that is working...)

getting old here, so I will take any help I can get!

VAPE ON!!!!

When I gave up cigs, I originally bought all 0 nic juice. I then wandered off into the direction of comparing my 0 nics to 12 or 6 nic juices. Currently I have all three that I restock on a regular basis. I look for flavor and there are a few juices out there that just can't hold their own without some nicotine. My reasoning is that, if the FDA tries to regulate e-juice based on the 'definition' of tobacco related product, my 0 nic juices will escape their jurisdiction (this is also why the FDA is having so much trouble writing new legislation...there are no 0 nic patches or gum out there). I've worked in an industry where I had to write technical documents based on US Code/Code of Federal Regulations so I do understand their hesitance in trying to control this new technology. There are SO MANY considerations that it would take 20+ years to get past the lawyers and lobbyists without proving it's big tobacco behind the new code.
