Tyson, congratulations on your 3 months. I just had mine too. Isn't it wonderful? Don't you just love vaping? I do. Ok, let's see if I can explain the volts/watts thing. You already are dealing with volts, where you need to know what the ohms are on the juice delivery devices you are using on your MVP. Let's say you have an Evod or Protank with a 2.0 ohm head. For a starting point, without using a lot of math or charts, I usually add 2 to the ohms of the topper. So that would mean I would set my MVP to 4 volts and vape. I would fine tune it up or down from there to taste. If no vapor or flavor, turn it up a little, burnt taste turn it down.
On the 134 because it has both volts and watts you get to choose which one you want to use. You can set it to work in volts OR watts. You can not do both. So let's say you have that 2.0 ohm head on your Protank. You can put that on your 134 and set it to volts and you pick the number, the same as you are doing on the MVP.
With the watts, it is like magic. All you have to do is set the watts to what you like to vape at, say 6.5 or 7 watts and the 134 will automatically set the correct voltage for you. It has an ohm meter built in and it will read the ohms of any topper you put on the 134. You do have to figure out what watts you like to vape at, but it is a similar process as you did with the MVP, you dial the watts up or down a little until you find your sweet spot.
The beauty of the watts feature is that, let's say you have 4 different tanks of juice and you do not remember if one is 2.0 ohm or 2.4 ohm. When you use the watts and you set it for, say 7 watts, the 134 will do all the math for you and automatically set the volts to power the topper at. So if you like the vape at 7 watts, the device will read the ohms on the coil of the topper you are using and set it for you. Pretty neat and easy.
Have fun with it. Just remember it is always better to set your numbers low and work your way up a bit, than to start high and maybe get a burnt taste or burn the coil. You will figure out that a lot of your vaping will be in a fairly narrow watts range. Once you find your sweet spot you are good to go.
