So Cal
It started yesterday after receiving my shipment of 3 bottles from Nicoticket; Custards Last Stand, Crème Brule, and Betelgeuse. I'm not sure what caused the dry spot on my tongue, but there were a few issues I had with this shipment.

1. I misordered a 12mg and according to my B&M I should use a 6mg with my sub ohm Atlantis
2. I have vaped nearly exclusively 80/20 mixes over the last 3 weeks, NT flavs above are 50/50 for CLS & CB and 65/35 on Betelgeuse.

In your opinions whats causing this dry spot?

Is it the nic level too high?

Or is it the PG?

Or is it both????

I haven't had this, but other issues. When I did smoke a lot, I did notice that my tongue was coated more white and gross. vaping for about 1.5 weeks or so, my tongue is returning to a more pink, wet color.

So there are changes with your tongue in general. It's healing in a way, but maybe try drinking more. Is the spot in the path of the vapor? Maybe try keeping the vapor cooler...

I received my sampler pack today from Vape WIld, its a higher VG and lower nic content than the samples I got from NicoTicket. I like the VW much better! I laid off the vape all afternoon while my Atlantis soaked and dried.

My tongue is more or less back to normal, not sure if that's why or not. I'll let the thinner NT stuff steep for a few weeks and try it again, then I'll know! My local B&M did say that with sub home coils I should drop nic level by half and the 12mg was way to strong in the NT. Still strong in the VW at a 9mg... next time I'll go 6mg as suggested. But I'm only 3 weeks off cigs and still want that nic taste, till I can ween myself down to zero!

You could be sensitive to the PG or VG but, do not rule the flavorings out. Could also be an additive that particular vendor uses ( no clue if they even use any). I have issues with high VG but, there are also many flavors that I have bad reactions to and have to avoid.

Glad that you found something else that is working for you though.

It may be a PG sensitivity, or too much nic for this sub ohm tank. I'd have to say after my limited experience that it is either their (NicoTickets) additive or mixes as all 3 of theirs had the dry numbing effect on my tongue. I have not had this with other 65/35 mixes, and these were my first 50/50 mixes.

I have always liked the high VG content juices, even when I was a part time vaper. They hit smoother and the taste on exhale much better imho.

PS - too bad that isn't you in your avatar!

80 what?/20 what? Spell it out - not every supplier uses the same rules about whether PG or VG comes first.

Sorry...

80% VG / 20PG is what I like.

The offerings from nicotick are locked at 65vg/35pg and 50/50... I didn't like the way the vape, but they had nice flavor. Most important is the "numb tongue" sensation disappeared when I switched to my usual 80vg/20pg mixes!

Hello,

Your situation sounds a bit unusual, If you have access to health care,
you can save a lot of time, money and sorrow consulting a doctor.
Do what I say and not what I do.
It took a lot of time and suffering for me to find that VG was the culprit.
That's in my case. Yours could be many factors.
It's the 1st time I hear BMI related to mgs of nicotine. Interesting.
I wish to know where you found that info. Thank you. Carlos.

I didn't hear it anywhere, just speculating that might also have been part of the issue. Not sure what you mean by BMI?

According to many online sources and my local shop, with sub ohm tanks (like the Atlantis and Sub Tank) you should cut your normal nic level in half. I normally smoked 12mg, so I dropped to 6mg. I accidentally ordered 12mg from nicoticket, not the 6mg I should have per the instructions I was given. Therefore I am speculating that the high nic level might also be a part of it.

Also, many people have reactions to PG or VG... I know many who avoid PG as much as they can. I'll stick with the high VG, because I like it and it doesn't bother me like the PG does. Just listening to what my body tells me!

I'm having issues to. Usually, if i stop smoking for how many days, i only get some itchy spot on upper part of my gum. Now, my gums will bled like never before. the other day, i smoked after having an tooth extraction. It hurt so bad. Is this the price i get after trying my best to quit smoking? hahaha

oh, on the side note, do you guys know a rehab center for nicotine addict? not that i'll admit myself into one, i just need it for future reference, such as this for example - addictionhelpprogram .com - Alcoholic Rehab Center Fort Worth. Browsing the net for hours is a pain in the a ..., so if you guys might know or have some idea about it, give me a beep. Yeah, i know, sorry for my laziness :p

I do not believe that it is a good idea to smoke after having any dental work done! I was always told to not smoke after even the littlest procedure. Have a huge chance for an infection. As well. I think any rehab will having rehab for nicotine?

Really? Maybe I just forgot what my dentist had advised, or maybe I was just really a hard-headed man(which was my worst behavior). Anyways, thanks for the reply. :)

Yea, my dentist always told me not to smoke for awhile after dental work. I never really listened and I survived, but now I have false teeth.:D

i dont think your case has anything to do with formerly smoking cigerettes, or vg/pg as you would typically hear from some of these vape fanatics. I think it may have to do with where you are positioning your tounge when your vaping. That or its the gras flavoring.

It was only with one brand of eliquid (NT) that is a much higher PG than I was used to... I haven't vaped those again and all is fine! So my guess is it is a reaction to either the NT flavorings or their PG.
