Just wondering.. I have been off the analogs for three weeks. I actually lost weight because I got sick after quitting. I am felling a whole lot better now and I am wondering if weight gain will be an issue or because I'm still getting my daily nicotine I won't experience the weight gain.

Please let me know all of your experiences.
Thanks
Alan

Some people will lose weight, some will gain, and of course others will fluctuate normally around their average. It happens. The nicotine is PART of it, I believe, but for many of us whom have quit in the past and gained weight, it was the missing hand to mouth action (aka the ritual of smoking) that led to increased food intake and therefore weight gain. FOR ME, the PVs satisfy the ritual COMPLETELY so I have actually lost 5 or 6 pounds since I've been vaping (1+ month now!). I also plan to slowly cut down on the nic levels, so it will be interesting to see if lower nic affects my overall satisfaction with PVs and if I put the weight back on.

Stay tuned....lol

In the about a years since I've been vaping exclusively, I've gained near 10 pounds.
I'm about the same (10 lbs up) but I agree with the poster who said it's just because everything taste so much better! I'm starting to lose it now but didn't blame it on the quitting cigs - I didn't munch because I wanted a smoke.

I wouldn't mind if I started losing weight. One year today, precisely.

I gained around 7kg, but started vaping 3rd November, and then with the holidays ... Anyway steadly going doing again.

I am not eating more or less then I used to, for me I think it's just the metabolism that works slower no, due to all the crap isn't doesn't have to endure anymore

I actually lost when when I switched and I attributed that to a couple of reasons:

1. I feel better and am therefore more active overall.

2. Because my juice dries out my mouth, I drink 5x more water than I used to which aids in weight loss.

3. I used dessert flavored liquid which kept me from craving sweets.

4. I don't tend to snack when I'm vaping and since I can vape pretty much all of the time, I rarely snack between meals.

Everyone is different however...just my experience.
