Where did you purchase those batteries? The label lettering on the shrinkwrap is much larger and different from the pics that I have seen previously of this model. That's not to say yours are not authentic, but a lot of battery countereiting is going on in China, and since this battery is so sought after it will be one of the most targeted to fake. It's also possible Sony has recently changed their labels. Just a heads up.

I only use AW IMR batteries, so I can't help you concerning the Sony's. I do own a Nitecore i4 and my daughter has a i2. Our chargers don't get warm while in the charging cycle. My guess is as long as it is just "warm" that you will be ok, but always practice routine safe battery charging habits.

Monitor batteries & charger during charging, never leave batteries to charge overnight or while not at home to monitor them, and remove batteries after they are fully charged. Good idea to use the charger on a non-flamable surface such as a stovetop. Check battery voltage both after removing from your mod and when coming off of the charger with a meter to ensure the voltages are within accepted ranges. Fully charged batteries should be 4.2 volts and between 3.4 - 3.5 volts out of the mod.

got it from from a nearby vape shop that i frequent... very honest service so far... they even teach me how to know real and clones.... they carry like nimbus / chimbus stuff like that... and now they have kayfun clone which i like to try out ,maybe =) they back up their product and prices are really reasonable.. they did not even push this product on me not until i started asking about low ohm vaping w/c i find really good service... no pressure and no switch and bait....
i paid 13 buck yeah i know kinda expensive considering i could have bought 2 for that price ...

so i figured it out... the nitecore i2 has 2 charging bays so i tried charging only 1 batt the sony and whallah the charger did not warm up =) i guess its pulling a lot from the unit.. yep out of the charger it measured 4.1 to 4.2v

and men oh men there is a difference in the vape of my mech even a 1.2 ohm build... happy so far when i get a chance i will try and go lower than my usual .7 to 1.8 ohm builds most of the time i use a regulated mod / but using this battery will enable me to have peace of mind vaping the sub ohm builds..

This once again makes me glance a really skeptical eye at Nitecore. I can charge two 18650 Panasonic 2900 mAh hybrids in either of my Xtar chargers and nothing gets warm - either the batteries or the charger. Chargers heating up under load could indicate they are using an undersized power supply in the thing, especially with Nitecore utilizing an internal power supply as they do. I swear I'm an inch away from purchasing a Nitecore just to see what is going on with the construction inside there.
