30 ml doesn't fill 2 15 ml bottles?

So I finally decided to place an order for 120 ml of juice from ejuices. When I got it in the mail today and went to break the 4 30 ml bottles into 15 ml bottles and each one only filled up about 1.5 15 ml bottles. Anyone else had this happen? Wondering if I should contact the site about it. Any input would be appreciated

My 15 ml bottles hold more than that. Unless you pour all your liquid into a measuring beaker when you get it, those are the breaks.

Until you have actually measured the total amount of juice you received, you have no basis for a complaint.

Depending on the bottles, they might actually hold more than 15ml if you're filling them up all the way to the top. A lot of times a bottle's capacity isn't measured by the total volume of the inside, but rather a nominal volume that fits inside with a little room to spare

You certainly could contact the vendor to ask about it, just be polite in your enquiry If you have some way to actually measure (syringes or other accurately graduated containers) that would be a good step to take before you do, though

Are they glass or plastic bottles?because i have come across some glass bottles that are thicker then outher and plastic bottles that are labeled to be 15ml and are really 18

Thanks for the replies. They are plastic bottles. I've bought plenty of 30 ml bottles and done this quite a few times but never had it come up this short. Guess I'll pick up a beaker before I go any further. Not sure if this photo shows up its my first time loading one

pistolpete, I don't have the exact same bottles you have pictured, but I did measure one of the ones I had on hand. Filled right up to the top it held around 17ml. I'm willing to bet the situation is similar with your bottles

Yeah that makes sense now. I just filled up another 15 ml plastic one with a brand new 15 ml glass one and it was a few ml short. Guess they all hold different amounts.

Who did you get them from? There's a set of '30mL' bottles that several companies use that can actually only hold a max of 26-27mL. That's if you fill it up to the very top, and most companies don't fill it up all the way so in actually you're likely getting ~ 25mL. I've learned this from my DIY juice. You probably got one of these bottles.
