Honestly, it's gonna take a little practice to know how much your feeding it. Personally, when I use the blind squonk correctly then it's the same as 3 drops. As if you were dripping and it gives me around 5-6 hits before I have to feed it again. Tried the clear DT in the beginning but, unfortunately a few holes were burnt into it. Since your pretty experienced with vaping already and know the signs of when an atomizer is in need of being fed. So, I'm just not gonna mention that part. The pyrex dt are fairly popular amongst us REOnauts and so, it's not a bad idea to get one for yourself to try out.

Personally, I relied on trial and error until I got it down. Now, that I got a hang of blind squonking. I really can't see myself using cartomizers ALL the time. Started out with tanks anyways and so, that's just me. Always like more flavor to my juices without it becoming slightly muted due to the filler material.

If your more into flavor then have you tried LR 901's? All you need is a stealth adapter from Cisco. A drip shield wouldn't hurt neither.

There's a big difference between a Phidias and REO. Since the Phidias is a gravity feeder and so, it's not going to be the same process that your going to go through when you use a REO. The good thing is that it's going to be easier to learn. Since you don't have to invert it nor feed it as aggressively.

It's surprising the amount of juice that comes up when you lightly press the bottle. You don't have to press the bottle multiple times as you would a gravity feeder as well. It's just a touch of pressure while doing a very light dry hit and your good to go.

seems like ive seen somewhere they have clear glass 306 drip tips, maybe i should grab one. im currently using a black cannon and a white cannon

I have seen some clear cannons at a few places. I've noticed with blind squonking, i get more of a suction feel when the bottle is full and more gurgling as the bottle empties out.

I've been using a LR 306 on my Grand for the past few days just for the novelty of it. I'm using a clear cannon drip tip. It's weird, because the only way to get a good vape without a scratchy, harsh TH, is to squonk juice to the top of the bridge. Anything less, and the TH is too scratchy. I have no idea who made these 306 attys. The vendor won't tell me. :p

ok, i just got the perfect squonk. hope i dont make too big a mess in the drip cup, the bottom of the cannon tip makes it hard to see. can i mess anything up with too much juice in the cup?

Absolutely not, the only thing you'll mess up is the atomizer. I think that the only reason why you got a dry hit before is that you under-fed your atty when you squonked. Which is pretty common when you first start out. Don't forget to de-wick it as well. Plus, 306's need a little extra attention since they go through juice like no other. Like I said before, a blind squonk every 5 hits and your golden.

Anyways, congrats on getting your REO!!!

ok..... ive never de-wicked an atty before and really not sure where to start, lol. what will this accomplish by doing it? im all for it if it will help. i started the day squonking very lightly and found it wasnt enough, i actually like it that i have to press a little harder. im getting to know the little squish sounds now. at first i wasnt going through hardly any juice at all now my bottle is about empty.

For most 306 enthusiasts, it's a must. It gives better flavor since the wick gets burnt really fast and it's almost impossible to remove that flavor unless you de-wick it. I actually de-wick all of my atomizers before I even use them.

It's easy though, just look under the bridge and you'll see the wick. Just use a paper clip and lightly push it out of there. Once that's done. Just use a pair of tweezers to pull it completely out. It should only take a minute or so at the most. Just be careful not to touch the coil.

Anyways, it does take a little practice before you find your method. Just remember that the bottle gets a little softer after some use. So, the pressure your using now might be to much in the future. By the time that happens then you will already get a feel on how to feed it correctly. Did you try blind squonking yet? It'll come in real handy when your driving or something.
