Good you didnt use it, and dont,,, some where made with a different threading and they can give your Reo a short and fry the spring or button switch,, grab different ones. what brand where these ?

I've used it on the ego battery without problems. It's not labeled as to a brand but I ended up buying one from two different vendors and they look identical. I've only tried to screw the one on, the other is still in the packaging (different vendor, but looks to be the exact same thing).

Guess the question is - it should work right?

Yes...it should work. :)

Also, some threading on other pvs may differ from that on the REO by a smidge...and the threads are soft enough that their shape can be changed by threading them onto a different pv. I don't recommend forcing it onto your REO, but some folks have been able to without a problem. LR306s should fit the REO without a problem. I do suggest, however, that you not thread it onto your eGo before the REO. And if you do get it to thread on your REO, do not screw it down too tightly.

Ok, so still need some help! I'll be the first to admit I'm a total noob when it comes to attys. I opened the second 306 atty I mentioned above and it did thread on ok! That's pretty much where the good news ends though...

I put about 7 drops in and let it sit for about 20 minutes before ever firing it based on recommendations I read here. I then tried a couple puffs and got this horrid almost burnt taste. Figured it was the primer... blew it out, put more drops in and tried again. Same thing. I've tried this cycle over and over and it always tastes horrible. I then figured that it might that this atty is at too low an ohm rating so I put it on my vv ego at 3.2 volts and it was still terrible though not as bad. Just can't get that terrible, TERRIBLE taste to go away...

Is this thing salvageable? Why can't these be as easy as a Boge carto?!? The only somewhat promising note is that this 306 produces a TON more vapor than the other one that wouldn't thread onto the reo... but it tastes like someone put ash in some toilet water and steeped it for a couple weeks. Help!

Both of them, the one that would thread on and tastes like crap and the one that wouldn't but tastes fine on other batteries are both 1.5 ohm. I was using a tobacco juice - 70/30 mix.

Ok. Brand of 306? Do you have a link to where you bought them?

I'd say give them both a good cleaning and try them again. There are several methods. Steam cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, alcohol soaks, boiling, etc.

Some atomizers are just junk fresh out of the wrapper. I've had some that I absolutely loved and others from the same order and same everything else that never vaped worth two cents.

One of them I picked up with the reo, just says 1.6 ohm 306 on the site. The other from Kalamazoovaporshop - that one says it's a Joye at 1.5 ohm. They both look identical. Unfortunately because they look identical and I put them in the same bag, no idea which one is from which vendor.

I've got an ultrasonic - I can throw them in there with some vodka and let it run for 10 minutes or so this weekend.

Thanks for the advice.

If they are Joyes (or any non Cisco Ikenvape)) atty, they come with primer, which has to be blown out of the atty the first time you use it or it is horrible. I vaped primer juice ONCE and I can almost still taste it *shudder*
Good stuff primer juice to start off your day with burnt coffee of course

i was gonna say joye LR306 just tastes like poop even after boiled the standard one is fine
i think the well where the coil is is too small all the cisco and ikv atties when compared the little well the coil sits in is wider so i think in the joye LR the juice gets a bit burnt , just my theory but all the other LR 306s ive tried have great taste warmth and vapor , the joye LR306 craps the bed , i dont mind joye LR 510s though
try a cisco 1.5 and you will be in heaven

Thanks everyone - I'll try the cleaning and the dewicking if that doesn't work. I've been vaping for almost a year but mostly cartos and over that time I've tried attys a handful of times and always been extremely disappointed. I keep hearing everyone talk about how great they are but I'm starting to think I'm just chasing a dream!

I'm very tempted to just try the HH.357 and then give up if that doesn't work - sounds like that's the crown jewel of attys at this point.

Actually, I'd start with $5 LR 510 attys and work your way up to the HH .357. It's a great atty, but finicky. :)

I've used the LR 510s quite a bit - honestly not really a fan. I did let me use juices that wouldn't wick right in cartos but just very meh... I use Bloog's (KR808) when I'm out and about and primarily Boge 2.0 or 3.0 cartos at 3.7 or 5 volts at home. Kept hearing everyone talk about how much better 306s taste so I figured I'd give attys another go - obviously not going well yet!
