Sorry that you have not had a good experience with your 306. But, not all 306's were created equal. IMO the best 306 on the market is Cisco LR 306's from avidvapor.com. As with what others have said, dewicking it is a MUST for most 306 users including myself. Remember that if you want more flavor then a 1.8 or 2 ohm version is your best bet since 1.5 ohm's can burn some juices and you'll get a muted flavor. Most vendors usually stamp the bottom of their atty with the ohm rating. You should check there and find out which one you have.
In any case, taste is VERY subjective. 306's in general don't have more flavor then a 510, 801, and especially a 901. What it does have is more heat and TH. Which is why a majority of people like them. Every atty out there has a fan base. It's going to be up to you in the end which one you like the best.
