cant find how to mod the 306 atty so the ego cone fits, they said to take an old 510 and hollow it out by pulling it out some how and putting in the 306 atty, cant find where i seen it, please help, as i need the cone on with my 306 atty on my ego

One mod is in a thread here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/canada-forum/120890-306-drip-tip-converter.html

I bought a couple 510 eGo-510 std charger adapters to act as extenders (I kinda think of them as "stand offs") that basically do the same thing as the mod. These are about 1" long and screw into the batt. Then you screw the 306 into it and slide the drip tip down on it, and then slide the cone back on. It mostly fits within the cone although if you want to completely keep the bottom of the atty within the cone area, don't screw the cone all the way down. It seems to work fine in any case.

Cignot 510-510 adapters/extenders.

I run LR 306's and LR 510's on my eGo. Not sure why you are worried about the cone and all that work to make a mod so you can put the cone on. I never use the cone with a LR. If you are hitting it often you will want heat to disipate as quickly as possible. The cone helps retain heat. IMO I would not bother with it.
