Scrolling through the pages at altsmoke.com i saw they sell 3400 mah AW 18650 batteries! I think mine are only 2000mah or something... as long as they are the same style and protected batteries these should be fine in any AVP that uses the 18650? Just want to make sure I'm not going to fry something before i order a couple :p

No. These are not safe chemistry batteries which is why they have protection circuits. I would stick with IMR batteries they handle high drain better and are safer IMO because they don't rely on protection to prevent catastrophic failure it is part of their chemistry.

Protected batteries should only be used in mechanical mods. Mods that are variable voltage/variable wattage have protective circuitry built into their processors and boost circuits, so do not need protection in the batteries, but do need the higher drain capacities of the IMR batteries for their boost circuits to function properly.

I would much rather depend on the protection built into the electronic APV's than rely on the fuses that are built into the protected batteries. I also use the safer chemistry IMR batteries in my mechanical mods ever since a protected one blew up in one of my mechanical mods.
