Now on day 36 without an analog and won't be going back. I feel such a huge difference in health and breathing. For a while I was hacking up a lot of dark phlegm in the morning and coughing, had me worried but that has mostly subsided now. Some lighter phlegm every few mornings and no more coughing.
Last week I had jury duty and was in the ghetto for that. On lunch break at the court house I took a brisk walk a few blocks away to the waterfront and walked along there for the hour or so. Didn't breathe heavy or cough. Also had to go to the city for a meeting another day and took public transportation to avoid parking aggravation and costs. Of course they shut the subway down when I switched trains and I was 20+ city blocks from where I had to be! I thought about a cab but decided to jog it and made only 10 minutes late. Amazingly I wasn't winded or coughing, it actually felt good!
So very happy to have finally kicked the cigs. If I feel this big of a difference after only a month I can't wait to be see how I feel after a few more months when my lungs have really cleared up and recovered! Also I'm noticing I feel less dependent on nicotine than when I smoked. Some days I'll chain vape but other days it's just a few drags here and there throughout the day without even thinking about it. If I ever wanted to (I don't, at the moment), I feel it would be easier to quit nicotine altogether now that I'm vaping than when I was smoking.
Thanks to everyone here for all the information and assistance through my vaping experience.
