As I usually combine hobbies, I recently got into 3D printing, so I see a lot of things I can make wherever I go.

I use a ProVari and a Kanger Protank and I don't like the feeling of crunching the o-ring in the 510 connector, so I used a paperclip in the grooves in the bottom of the pro tank to space the tank just far enough from the body of the ProVari to prevent crushing it.

Since I recently picked up a 3D printer, I printed a neat spacer that goes in the dripwell of the ProVari and sticks up a little above the 510 connection, this provides a nice, non-scratching spacer to space it just far enough away but still make nice contact.

I designed it in Sketchup (took about 5 minutes) and they take about 3 minutes to print on my Printrbot Simple.

As you can see, it's crown shaped so it doesn't affect airflow.

Here's the link to it on Thingiverse if you or your buddies have a 3D printer.

If you don't know anyone with a 3D printer, PM me and I'd be happy to print you two for material cost and postage (about $2)

That's extremely cool. I'm ignorant here....aren't 3D printers crazy expensive? Like 5 figures at a minimum? In any case the possibilities here are tantalizing.

Btw your handle and avatar are awesome. I miss that show so much. I hate Marco and his mailbox head!

Ha ha, thanks for recognizing the ref!

Check out the Printrbot Simple, it's a $350 kit, took me about 5 hours to build. It can print almost anything inside a 100mm cube!
