3ml carto tank ~ 3ml J-tank

Filling and use between both tanks you mentioned are about the same. The biggest difference between the J-tank & the carto tank is who manufactures them. J-tanks are made by a machinist on-site in the electronicstix store. Jason started selling the 3ml carto tanks as a favor to another vendor. I own both types of tanks and have been happy with how well they perform. That said, I'd rather pay the extra couple bucks for a J-tank. The J-tank's build quality seems much better than the cheaper tank, and I've found that the J-tank's internal O-rings grip cartomizers better than the other carto tank does. Yes both tanks will allow you to change the carto by pushing the old out with a new one (excluding 801 fusions because of their wider base). IMO, you're better off just vaping a tank dry before starting fresh carto (unless you've already figured out how to quickly saturate a new carto without removing an endcap). Here's a video of ROB at ENS showing how to filling a new tank.

Thanks for all the info on these particular tanks. The reason I like to "hot switch" is for when the carto needs to be replaced because it's no longer useable. It saves a lot of trouble to do it that way. I prefer filling tanks by pushing the batt end of the carto inside the end cap and tilting it off to one side, filling the tank, and pushing the carto back up through.
