Ordered this not knowing what I was doing. (just getting into RBAs). Read some things about needing to torch this stuff. Can I just wrap a coil around it and go, or is there more prep involved that I am not aware of?

I just got mine today from Kidney Puncher. Instructions there say to boil for 15 minutes in distilled water. That was easy enough, now to wait for it to dry.
oils from your fingers and contaminates from god knows where else can color the flavor of the wick. when i get wick in i boil it in distilled water and let it dry. from then i just torch the piece i use when building a wick. honestly when i started i never boiled and just torched it with fine results.
