4.8v NiMH Battery?

I dont have my prodigy 3.1 YET (damn mailman stole it I think..maybe I have to go small claims court?) But if by some fking miracle I do get it will this battery work? 4.8 Volt NiMH Battery Cell
I have a 3.7 device, and I can 6v another, So I wanted to make this my 5. Thanks for the replies!

Ok I just tried this in my prodigy 3.1 (just got it today) DONT DO IT! the battery melted in the prodigy! lucky I noticed the heat so I opend it up and shook the battery out fast, it melted the spring and my finger tips! not to mention the battery is ruined
