I have to say, I was let down by what I've received from MEL considering they're a fairly well-known vendor to many here. Why was I let down by this vendor loved by quite a number of people? Hm..

Pure Michigan (Apple + Strawberry):
Vapor: 1/5 ; TH: 2/5 ; Flavor: 3/5
Tastes exactly like apple juice. At this point in the steeping process, I taste primarily apple with strawberry subtleties. The strawberry mainly adds to the sweetness of the apple. A very sweet apple juice flavor. There seems to be a lingering chemical-type aftertaste as well.

Dime Piece (Peach + Cranberry):
Vapor: 1/5 ; TH: 2/5 ; Flavor: 2/5
The taste is reminiscent to an apple juice except mixed with a splash of peach. If there is any cranberry, its hardly detectable. I filled my friends stardust with this and he and another friend agree that it tastes like apple juice.

Grey Matter:
Vapor: 2/5 ; TH: 2/5 ; Flavor: 1/5
To me, this liquid tastes like apple juice made from rotten apples mixed with a tiny amount of cream. This liquid is one of their top sellers and I'm confused as to why that is. My friend said it tastes like expired vanilla. Yet another juice that tastes like apple juice, even with a fresh atomizer.

Blue Voodoo:
Vapor: 1/5 ; TH:2/5 ; Flavor: 4/5
This tastes very much like a blue jolly rancher, maybe even too candy-like for my tastes. It has a bit of a tangy taste to it, though. Again, like the other juices, vapor is very minimal. Throat hit is smooth, almost nonexistent. Its a good flavor but not one I'd reorder; I'd probably go with Diamond Vapor's Blue Magic for my blue raspberry needs.

Sampler - Apple Strudel:
I've yet to try this but guess what...APPLES! I'm going to guess and say this will taste like apple juice mixed with bread >_>

I'm starting to think I got some kind of messed up order or something..I have no idea why theres such an apple juice taste to these liquids and vapor, as well as throat hit, is almost nonexistent. I've had MBV flavors that offer more vapor and throathit than these and thats saying a lot lol. Oh well, on to the next!

Sorry you had such bad luck with this one. I love MEL. With the apple studel I got apples and crust on the inhale and cinnamon on the exhale. I've only tried one of the ones you got. Grey Matter. It was a very light taste to me. Nothing apple. Just a very light hint of vanilla, maybe cream too. Did you try it on a fresh wick or the same that you used for dime piece and michigan?

I've been using MEL's juices for nine months and something has happened there. My ADVs are Grey Matter, English Meadow, Red Rider and Jade Tiger. My last order two+ months ago was my usual 36ml bottles of GM, RR and JT in both 12 and 18 mgs extra flavor (usual 67/33mix.) The colors were totally different this time as well as the taste. GM has always been light pink out of the mail and deepens slightly steeping and it was a deep salmon color this time. Its never turned to that color steeping. And the extra flavor... wow!... red rust. And the flavor was not the same at all. I used to savor the nuances of GM (just as described in reviews there... get different notes draw-to-draw and all of them super good and I can't even describe this latest order but there are no nuances to speak of. Its just kind of "meh." I'm so disappointed... like I lost an old friend. RR has changed in color too... deep, deep, rust from salmon but its still passable but stronger in jabanero (?) heat. Jade Tiger is darker too but still good. Maybe a new employee mixed my juices last time and messed up... dunno.

What are you vaping it on, and what kind of blend?
I only tried a few -
I really liked their Ry4; I liked Grey Matter enough to order more; and I really did NOT like their "Kamel Hump" though I very often vape Turkish Tobacco flavors.
Even more "counterpoint" - I got 67/33 PG/VG, yet just checked my little chart (so I can remember what I like) and rated both the RY4 and Grey Matter as having OUTSTANDING vapor production - even in comparison with higher VG juices from elsewhere!

Grey Matter is just a bizarre flavor. As I mentioned, I liked it, but i absolutely cannot "place" what I'm tasting. I don't taste apple or vanilla. It's more like....I dunno...

Hang on- - -filling fresh EVOD with some from second bottle, it's been steeping - - -

...OK so maybe some vanilla in there. And...motor oil? LOL. I have no idea. But I do like it - and I get CLOUDS of vapor!

In my long experience with GM, ya really can't say what it tastes like. Similar to trying to describe Oba Oba but with GM, just when you think you got it, the next draw tastes different. I've gotten everything from Sugar Cookie, raisin, fennel... it goes on and on. I used to love it and might try ordering another small bottle just to see if I got unlucky with a mixer that day since both the other juices in that order weren't right either. BTW, I had that happen with Watermelon and Watermelon ice too. I first few orders were like jolly rancher watermelon and watermelon ice was definitely wintergreen in there and it was even in the description of it. Next couple of orders were more like fresh watermelon with the rind and the wintergreen in the Ice changed to menthol. I wrote MEL's and they said the recipe hadn't changed but the Ice description miraculously changed to menthol. Go figure. Old reviews also mentioned jolly rancher and changed to fresh watermelon. I almost didn't go back after that but was in love with Grey Matter so did.

I tried them all in Evods and fresh coils. They all had next to no vapor production. I ordered all 4 in their signature 33%vg and 12mg nicotine.
I don't understand it but they just all tasted weird; they tasted like some kind of apple juice varient except of Blue Voodoo. Grey Matter just tasted like rotten apple juice.

Something is wrong there because I get plumes of vapor with MEL 33%.... that's at 3.7 volts with an eroll and 3.3 - 4.2 volts with an ego c using a carto.
