I recently got a 4nine from a local shop and have noticed that I am getting a hot button once in a while within a fraction of a second of firing. I actually saw a spark the other day and it freaked me out. I really like this mod and curious what the problem is. My battery and atty works fine on all my other pieces. I want to use but i'm worried. Please help, is their a flaw to this design or can I fix it somehow. Thanks

I had an issue with mine last week when i got it..
I put my Aspire Nautilus on it just to mess around and see how it hit and hit the button, it got hot on the button like ,right now..
put anything else on there so far and no problems with mine.
from what i've been finding from looking around is that there are a couple issues..

This is from what i have found in the little searching i've done so far..
It's so tight inside the 49mm mod for the battery that if the atty pin is too short it can cause a short.
and if it's too long it can auto fire..

I'd hit google and youtube and see if there are other threads on here as well, if i were you to find as much as you can about it..

The thing that errks me is one of my local vape shops is selling this to anyone that walks in the door, new to vaping or not..
They are just asking for a lawsuit..

There is a potential short problem with the 4 nine. If the pin on your atty is below the threaded part then it will short when you fire. Be sure the center pin sticks out beyond the threading. If it does not then the outside of the 510 connection will touch the positive pole on the battery and that is a short.

If this happens and heats the magnets they will stop working. Be sure they still repel each other and replace them if they do not.
