Hi there!
I have a few 401-Evo batteries (large and short models) which are almost dead, and I'd like to disassemble them in order to change the battery.

I've been surfing the forum about this specific e-cig model, but found no information.

I tried to disassemble on one my own and messed it all completely: I removed the plastic cap and I was able to see the led mini-circuit. I pulled it a bit and broke one thin cable. I tried to remove the metallic end (pulling, rotating it...) no success at all. I used some tools for a better grip and I got was a bent and squeezed metallic end. I was not able to remove it.
Then I decided to try to remove the battery from the other en (where the plastic cap was). I removed the battery indeed...but broke all the wires that were attached to the other end. Well, a mess as you see.

Has anybody ever removed the metallic end without deforming it? (where the screw is).

Any idea will be much appreciated

Regards!

The only one I've seen taken apart, was just to remove the battery connector. The guy screwed on an old atty, used a pair of needle nose pliers and squeezed the battery just under the connector. First one way, then he turned it 90 degrees and squeezed the other way, another squeeze, then gave the atty a pull and the connector came right off.

Hi Manete, I am not sure I quite understand what you want to do with your batteries.

If i understand correctly you want to replace the battery inside the battery casing?
If so, where do you plan on getting those replacement batteries?

The only reason for removing the connector on your batteries would be to use those connectors in building yourself a mod that would have a bigger battery.

A lot of people here including myself have removed connectors without destroying or deforming them, and there are many threads and post that explain how to do it.
Not always easy to find specific information in the forum since there are so many thousands of threads now.

Please explain more clearly what you want to do and i will probably be able to give you links for more info.
