Hi all, my first post here.
This is a mini tutorial on how to disassemble Joye510 batteries without damaging anything in the batteries using around-the-house tools. It may be applied to other battery models too. I don't know whether anyone posted instructions on how to do this before. I already searched a while back and counldn't find anything on the subject. If this post duplicates anyone else's technique in any way, I sincerely do apologize. I just want to report on what I did. By the way, I only had one dead battery so that this was the only time I did this. You guys may need to try it and verify whether it works for you.

Since we are playing with lithium batteries which are dangerous, the usual disclaimer apply here too. I did mine on a really dead battery so I didn't use insulator to prevent short circuit on some of the steps.

Here's the steps:
Step 1 : Disassemble an atomizer. We only need the connector even without the positive pole.

***Since it's my first post (<15), it looks like I cannot post pictures on this board. You may need to go to the following url to see the picture until someone, who can, posts them here.

Step 2 : Attach the connector to the battery.

Inside an atomizer, there are ridges that the tools can catch and find leverage.

Step 3 : The tool. You can use any L-shaped metal such as hex wrenches instead. I just found that piece of metal in the drawer at the time. It came from linkage rod inside car door-locks.

You can see the tip of the tool will latch on the ridges inside the atty connector.

Step 4 : With your left hand holding the battery close to the connector, use the L-shaped tool like when you open a beep cap. Use soft to moderate force. We don't want to bend the battery. Then rotate the battery a little bit and repeat the cap-opening action. After a while the connector will get loosened up from battery case and the whole inside can be pulled out.

I'm not able to find your picture links but with them it looks like it would be a great post if u pm them to me i can post them for you. (just got to 15 myself :D) I wish you would have posted it last night. I spent hours and a couple cuts ripping mine apart little chunk by chunk lol. The atty i used to try and pull it came apart on me and even with the nub still in it i couldn't break the link with the sturdy metal tube they use. I was expecting it to be a little more flimsy but that metal they use for the battery is THICK!

I did manage to get it done and made a beautiful rca connector useing those same pesky ridges to secure it like a rock.

Thank you very much everyone. You guys are life-savers.
Since I can't even edit my own post, there's one mistake in the above post. It's "when you open a beer cap", not "when you open a beep cap".
Please try the method and please report back for success and failure. I have several other ideas but they require machining and the like. Too complicate.
Thanks again.
