Not unless they dissolve kanthal.

But. Over time - and thick, dark juices seem to take less time - they will build a layer of crud on the coil. While it doesn't actually change the resistance, it will adversely affect the heat transfer, making it seem like a higher resistance coil, needing a higher voltage.

Either clean and dry burn, or put in a new coil when it gets to that point.

Mine will read a higher ohm (per the Provari or SVD) as time goes on. I figgured this was due to the build up of the gunk. Am I wrong ? If so, why would it go up. (Im talking carto tanks here after about a week or more)....still taste ok... Educate me friends :toast:

Yes, those evil Chinese liquids contain lead.

Okay, being serious - No the liquid itself shouldn't lower the ohms any measurable amount but usage will change it in multiple ways. Other than what has been mentioned, the first to come to mind for me is when the coil heats it expands then contracts as it cools, both of which have and effect on resistance.

Well i have some cartos that are suppose to be 1.5 ohms. I got this new juice and twice now... Ill put it on my zmax and the ohms drop from 1.5 down to a low load reading within 5 drags. Do you guys just think i got 2 faulty cartos in a row? It just seems unlikely and I am wondering if i got some weird juice. The juice also has seemed to cloud my tank permantly!

Personally, I'd say that is a very good reason to get yourself a decent pyrex glass tank. Some liquids will do that to polycarbonate tanks. I won't speculate, but I find comfort in knowing no liquid will affect pyrex glass.

Probably gunking up the coils really fast and, that juice is a tank cracker. That clouding is the first warning that you have a tank cracker on your hands - use it in a glass or metal tank ONLY.

Should i contact the manufactuer of the juice because that dangerous that it makes phms deop within seconds right?

First, what flavor and brand juice? I haven't used any but some crack tanks. If that kind of chemical reaction happens I can see how some might react in the way you mention. Second, is this actually a carto(mizer) or a clearo and is it generic or a brand name? Third, have you used these particular carts with another liquid, and I mean these exact ones not the same brand or from the same package?

I mentioned heat causes expansion. It is possible when the coil expands 2 pieces of metal are touching where they shouldn't. I'm sure someone will give you more thoughts on your particular set up.

to lower the ohms the juice would have to add wire to the coil wouldn't dissolving it cause it to have less resistance there for higher ohms?
